Abstract: A bushing for use with a door plug for securing a door to a metal frame. Said door prepped to receive the door plug with the door plug extended from an edge bore of the door and extended through a striker prep opening of said metal door frame. Said striker prep opening oversized for the extended end of said door plug. Said bushing configured to have a protrusion exterior mated to the striker prep opening and a through bore mated to the extended end of said door plug. Said bushing inserted into the striker plate opening and said door plug end extended through the through bore of said bushing whereby a fastener secured to the extended end of the door plug secures the door to the metal frame.

Abstract: A retainer for a patio door wherein a door closes against a metal mullion. The metal mullion has an edge in face-to-face adjacency with a distal edge end of the door. A slot in the mullion edge is fitted with clips that secure a striker plate to the mullion. The striker plate has an opening for receiving a latch. The door is prepped to receive a handle and latch mechanism, including an edge bore aligned with the opening of said striker plate. The retainer includes a plug slidable into the edge bore and having a protrudable end that is slidable from the edge bore and into engagement with the opening of said striker plate. Preferably a keeper applied to the plug locks the plug in the protruded position.

Abstract: A process for chemically treating a metallic part such as a part used in aerospace applications comprising providing a process tank capable of receiving at least one part; providing at least one part to the process tank; providing an alkaline first solution into the process tank from a first storage tank; providing the first solution from the process tank into a transition tank; providing water to the process tank; providing the first solution from the transition tank into the first storage tank; providing an acidic second solution into the process tank from a second storage tank; providing the second solution into the transition tank; providing water to the process tank; providing the second solution into the second storage tank; providing a third coating solution having a pH of about 1.0 to about 3.0 into the process tank from a third storage tank; providing the third solution into the transition tank; providing water to the process tank; and providing the third solution into the third storage tank.
