  • Patent number: 4199317
Abstract: The invention provides an improvement in the known dry thermoprinting process making it possible to employ the process to dye or print natural fibers or mixtures of natural and synthetic fibers. Textile material consisting of natural fibers or of a mixture of natural and synthetic fibers is impregnated with a precondensate of a thermosetting resin. The thus impregnated material is then dyed or printed by the dry thermoprinting process, the curing of the resin taking place during the transfer of the dyestuff.

  • Patent number: 4088442
Abstract: Flexible temporary carriers for dry transfer printing or dyeing, characterized in that they carry a multi-colored print or a print of a single color, produced by means of one or more dyestuffs which can vaporize or sublime below 250.degree. C and at least one of which is either a (di-alkylamino)-anthraquinone of which at least one alkyl radical is an isopropyl radical and which carries in the 2- and 3-position one hydrogen atom, or a 1-amino-anthraquinone which carries, in the 2-position, an ethoxy, methoxy or methyl group, a hydrogen atom or, preferably, a halogen atom and especially a chlorine atom and, in the 4-position, a hydrogen atom or a hydroxyl group, the other dyestuffs optionally present on this carrier behaving in the same way when exposed to heat between 150.degree. and 250.degree. C at atmospheric pressure and use thereof for dry dyeing or dry printing synthetic polyamides.

  • Patent number: 4008998
Abstract: Dry transfer printings are obtained by bringing the printed surface of a temporary carrier sheet into face-to-face contact with the surface of a substrate sheet to be printed, forming the joined sheets into a coil and heating the coil to a temperature and for a time period sufficient to cause transfer of transferable dyestuff from the printed surface of the temporary carrier to the surface of the substrate to be printed.
