  • Publication number: 20240350080
Abstract: There is provided a method for detecting sleep disordered breathing (SDB-) events. The method comprises receiving an arousal signal representative of an occurrence of an autonomic arousal; receiving an SDB-signal representative of an occurrence of an SDB-event; and generating a confirmation signal representing confirming that the SDB-signal is representative of the occurrence of the SDB-event based on the arousal signal. Further there is provided a detecting device for detecting SDB-events. The detecting device comprises a sensor system; and a processing unit connected to the sensor system. The sensor system is configured to generate an arousal signal and is configured to generate an SDB-signal. The arousal signal is representative of an occurrence of an autonomic arousal. The SDB-signal is representative of an occurrence of an SDB-event. The processing unit is configured to perform the method for detecting sleep disordered breathing events.

  • Publication number: 20240322626
Abstract: A dielectric substrate may support conductive traces that form windings for a least one pole of a planar armature of an axial flux machine. At least a portion of the dielectric substrate, which is adapted to be positioned within an annular active area of the axial flux machine, may include a soft magnetic material. Such a planar armature may be produced, for example, by forming the conductive traces on the dielectric substrate, and filling interstitial gaps between the conductive traces with at least one epoxy material in which the soft magnetic material is embedded.

  • Publication number: 20240085083
Abstract: A touchless compartmentalized cooler includes set of individual refrigeration cubbies with private/securable access for individual users. It allows a person to access a cubby to place food/beverages into a single cubby with no other people's items. It is lockable by the user to keep their items secure until they unlock the cubby to access their items or permanently remove them. The use of the touchless compartmentalized cooler can be entirely contactless by using the mobile app associated with the touchless compartmentalized cooler or can be accessed on the single control panel on, or near, the touchless compartmentalized cooler.

  • Patent number: 11679070
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods for treating hair with lactones. The lactones form a covalent thio-ester bond with free thiols groups on chemically treated hair, and thereby impart a “repairing” or “conditioning” effect to the hair, for example, by making the hair more hydrophobic. Typically, after hair has been treated with a composition comprising one or more reducing agents that reduce disulfide bonds of hair to free thiols, a composition comprising one or more lactones is applied to the hair and the one or more lactones react with the free thiols to form a covalent thio-ester bond. Treatment with the lactones prevents reversion of the repaired bonds to their free thiol state after a single application.

  • Patent number: 11305454
Abstract: A miter saw includes a base, a horizontal table supported by the base, an arm pivotably coupled to the base at a rear pivot point configured to permit the arm to pivot about a horizontal axis, a circular saw blade arbor supported by the arm at a location spaced forward from the rear pivot point, and a circular saw blade supported by and concentric with the arbor. The saw blade is configured to be driven to cut a workpiece on the horizontal table. The rear pivot point permits the blade to move along an arc in a vertical plane perpendicular to the horizontal table. Between a rear edge of the arbor and a rear edge of the blade, the arm extends substantially above the height of the blade to allow substantially the entire blade area rearward of the rear edge of the arbor to be available for cutting the workpiece.
