  • Publication number: 20200038481
Abstract: Reconstituted HDL formulations, methods of treatment comprising same and uses thereof are provided for treating patients after an acute myocardial infarction (MI) event. The reconstituted HDL formulations comprise an apo lipoprotein, a lipid, a detergent and a stabilizer such as sucrose. Treatment of MI patients with repeated infusions of rHDL enhance cholesterol efflux capacity and do not produce significant alterations in liver or kidney function. The MI patient may have normal kidney function or moderate renal impairment.

  • Publication number: 20060010751
Abstract: There is provided a flashlight attachment bracket useful for securing a flashlight or other similar device to a handgun. A resilient, grip-encircling arrangement is slid onto the handgun's grip from the front and secured against vertical movement (i.e., sliding off the bottom of the grip) by an opening adapted to receive a projection from the stock of the handgun. A flashlight-encircling bracket at the bottom of the support bracket slideably secures a flashlight so that the flashlight's front-to-back position may be adjusted for optimal balance and then the flashlight may be locked in place. No bracket components are permanently secured to the handgun; the mounting system allows the weapon to be holstered and quickly withdrawn without the flashlight in place.

  • Patent number: 6240714
Abstract: A weed trimmer or whacker which has an improved drive belt system. The cutting blades carried by a pulley driven belt have dual cutting edges, so the belt can be reversed after one side of the blades becomes dull. The reversal of the belt allows the other cutting edge to be used, thus effectively doubling the useful life of the belt. The drive system has either a V-shaped belt or a timing belt to reduce the probability of dislodging the belt from about the pulleys, when the cutting blades impinge upon an obstacle.

  • Patent number: 4121819
Abstract: A feeder/transporter having a ported hollow cylindrical vacuum housing and an internal complimentary shaped control valve. The housing is mounted for rotation about an axis located so as to position a sheet receiving outer surface of the housing for movement in a path from adjacent to a tray for supporting a stack of sheets toward a remote location to which the sheets are to be fed. The control valve is non-rotatably supported on the axis of the housing, and is mounted for reciprocable movement along the axis to control the opening and closing of ports in the housing. The control valve has an opening extending for a portion of its circumference with a series of port-blocking tabs extending into the opening.
