  • Patent number: 10019143
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining a principal image from a collection of images presented in a perspective view. A perspective view of images may be interactive and/or images may simultaneously increase or decrease in size in response to user interaction. Methods and/or techniques may be used to determine a principal image from a set of images based on a direction, speed, and/or velocity of movement or user interaction. A principal image in the perspective view may be the largest currently presented image and/or may be presented at the forefront to the user. Furthermore, an animation and/or video may be presented to the user following a determination of a principal image and/or after a configurable period of time without subsequent user interaction, which may further highlight or bring attention to a particular item to the user.

  • Patent number: 10019779
Abstract: Features are disclosed for an interface for browsing images of items having different scales and lengths such as clothing. The interface may present two portions of a subject, each portion selected from different data stores of images. The interface may provide a unified view of the portions. For example, a first portion may be taken from an image of the subject wearing a golf shirt and long pants. A second portion may be taken from an image of the subject wearing a long sleeved shirt and shorts. The first portion may show only the golf shirt and the second portion may show only the shorts thereby providing a depiction of what the subject would look like wearing the shirt shown in the first image with the shorts shown in the second image.

  • Patent number: 9996579
Abstract: Systems and methods are described to quickly search a data store based on one or more n-dimensional colors. The n-dimensional colors in the data store may be converted to interleaved integers and indexed. An n-dimensional color search range may be converted to one or more integer search ranges. A fast color search query may be formulated based on the one or more integer search ranges, and transmitted to the data store for searching. The data store may use the interleaved integer index to quickly compare the integer search ranges to the interleaved integers, and send back one or more colors or object results that matched the desired color range.

  • Publication number: 20180158128
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating color-related item recommendations using color palette information. A request may be received from a user for a color-related item recommendation. The request may include an input image and one or more item attributes. Based at least in part on an analysis of the input image to identify affiliated colors to the input image and the one or more item attributes, one or more items corresponding to the affiliated colors and the one or more item attributes are identified. Where there is more than one identified item, a ranking for the identified plurality of items may be generated. Item recommendations comprising at least a portion of the identified plurality of items in accordance with the generated ranking may be provided for presentation on a user device.

  • Patent number: 9959437
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for making ordinary objects network-enabled interfaces. A radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag may be fixed or detachably attached to an item capable of being manipulated by a person to obtain information about the item or to cause a performance of a task associated with the item. The RFID tag may include a capacitive touch interface that, when manipulated by a person, causes the RFID tag to emit an identifier associated with a corresponding item. A receiver, having the identifier and an instruction from a person, may communicate with a remote computing device to process the instruction and to generate a response to the instruction.

  • Patent number: 9961382
Abstract: Features are provided for the identification of objects in content, such as video content, by analyzing data regarding viewer interactions with other content. The interaction data can be analyzed to identify correlations between time periods of the video (or the video in general) and items that are the subject of, or otherwise associated with, other content with which viewers interact. These correlations can be used to provide, to subsequent viewers of the video, information regarding the items shown in the video, recommendations regarding items or content that may be of interest to subsequent viewers of the video, etc.

  • Publication number: 20180101991
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating a blended reality view to a user, the blended reality view combining images reflected by a mirror with images transmitted from a screen behind the mirror. Systems for generating blended reality views can include a display device with a screen positioned behind a mirror. The display device can generate a pattern of illumination and non-illumination on the screen so that the illuminated portions of the screen substantially transmit through the mirror. Projectors can be used to illuminate objects in front of the mirror so that the illuminated objects are reflected by the mirror. In combination, the portions of the screen transmitted through the mirror and the illuminated objects reflected by the mirror can provide a blended reality view to a user viewing the mirror.

  • Patent number: 9922050
Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein to determine data associated with color palettes identified from keyword searches. Color palettes may be searched by name or other data associated with the color palettes. Color palettes may include colors determined by human color preferences and/or may be associated with human votes. Furthermore, color palettes may be filtered by trends and/or times of the color palettes. Various user interfaces may be based at least in part on the keyword searching and/or trending techniques for color palettes.

  • Patent number: 9892133
Abstract: A system that verifies the attributes included in the description of an item using artificial intelligence is provided. For example, the system may use a feature extractor to identify color, shape, and/or texture features of a provided image. The system may then use a linear classifier to process the extracted features to identify attributes of the item depicted in the image. The system may compare the identified attributes with the attributes listed in the item's description. If there are any discrepancies, the system may revise the item description to include the identified attributes or provide suggested revisions to a user based on the identified attributes.

  • Publication number: 20180040142
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating color names for colors corresponding to images and/or palettes. A color image is obtained, and one or more color palettes corresponding to the color image are identified. The color palette may be generated based on palette generation criteria, which may facilitate or control a palette generation process. Illustratively, the palette generation process may include image pre-processing, color distribution generation, representative color identification, palette candidate generation, and palette determination. A color name for each color identified in the color palette and/or the color image can be identified based at least in part on color name popularity information. Color name popularity information may be identified from color name-related voting results provided by a social network site.

  • Publication number: 20180025002
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for associating colors or color names with a color image based on hue. A set of hue values can be extracted from color data, such as a color palette, corresponding to a color image. A representative hue can be derived from the set of hue values. Colors included in the color data that are attributable to the representative hue can be identified and one or more colors can be derived therefrom as representative of a subject depicted by the color image. Color names matching the representative colors can be identified and associated with the color image. In particular, a common color name can be determined therefrom and associated with the subject of the color image.

  • Patent number: 9799065
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for associating items based at least in part on physical location information that includes a physical location of at least two items. By associating items based at least in part on physical location information, associations among items may be identified that would otherwise be difficult to determine without usage of physical location information. In one embodiment, physical location information of various items may be collected by electronically recording the physical location of the items in a physical retail store. A degree of association may be derived from an analysis of the physical proximity between the items. The determined association information may later be used to recommend items to a user or for other purposes.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating social networking recommendations. A color preference of a first user may be determined from a color palette of a first image associated with the user and/or a color palette of an item associated with the user. Other users may be identified that have a similar color preference as the first user based at least in part on the determined color preference of the first user. Interactions between the first user and one or more other users having similar color preferences with respect to the first user may be facilitated. A social networking recommendation may be generated with respect to the one or more other users having similar color preferences with respect to the first user.
