Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating color-based recommendations using color palette information. An indication may be received that a user is requesting a color-related recommendation, the indication associated with item information and color palette information, the color palette information corresponding to a first color palette. Based at least in part on the item information and the color palette information, one or more items corresponding to the item information and the color palette information are identified. Where there is more than one identified item, a ranking for the identified plurality of items may be generated. Item recommendations comprising at least a portion of the identified plurality of items in accordance with the generated ranking may be provided for presentation on a user device.

Various user interfaces may be based at least in part on the keyword searching and/or trending techniques for color palettes.

A color image and associated color image metadata provided by a source for inclusion in an electronic catalog are accessed. A color palette corresponding to the color image is generated. A color name associated with the color palette is determined. A determination is made as to whether the image metadata comprises a color name. If the image metadata comprises a color name, a determination is made as to whether the color name included in the image metadata corresponds to the color name associated with the color palette. If the color name included in the image metadata does not correspond to the color name associated with the color palette or if the image metadata does not comprise a color name, the color name associated with the color palette is added to the color image metadata.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described to quickly search a data store based on one or more n-dimensional colors. The n-dimensional colors in the data store may be converted to interleaved integers and indexed. An n-dimensional color search range may be converted to one or more integer search ranges. A fast color search query may be formulated based on the one or more integer search ranges, and transmitted to the data store for searching. The data store may use the interleaved integer index to quickly compare the integer search ranges to the interleaved integers, and send back one or more colors or object results that matched the desired color range.
