  • Patent number: 8037892
Abstract: A parts washing apparatus comprising a basin having a drain, a reservoir located below the drain, and a solvent filtering and recirculating system. This system comprises a centrifuge filter assembly and a solvent recirculating system. The centrifuge filter assembly in turn comprises a centrifugal filter comprising a receptacle and a replaceable filter element, and also a turbine to drive the centrifugal filter. The centrifuge filter and the turbine are positioned in an enclosing structure to enclose the turbulent flow of the solvent from the centrifuge filter and also enclose the fumes associated with the turbulent flow. Thus, there is a discharge of solvent as less turbulent flow while substantially enclosing the associated fumes.

  • Publication number: 20090321333
Abstract: A cooking oil filtering system to extract cooking oil from a reservoir and direct it an enclosed centrifugal filter. The oil which is passed through the centrifugal filter is then directed back to the reservoir. The centrifugal filter is powered by a turbine which in turn is powered by a portion of the cooking oil which is delivered by a pump to the centrifugal filter. There is an oil supply and return section where there is an inlet hose having an end inserted in the oil of the reservoir and is connected to a pump which in turn directs the oil to the housing in which the second centrifugal filter is retained. The oil that is directed to power of the turbine and also to pass through the centrifugal filter is directed to a drain that in turn connects to hose which returns the cooking oil to the reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20020114888
Abstract: A method of applying a protective coating to a concrete or concrete-related substrate. The substrate is heated, and then electrostatically-charged coating powder is deposited onto the substrate with the coating powder coalescing into a coherent layer. Then the substrate and the coating are cooled to form the protective layer. The moisture content of the concrete or concrete-related material is sufficiently low so that bubbles or separation does not occur, and sufficiently high so that the electrostatically-charged particles will adhere to the substrate.

  • Patent number: 6306221
Abstract: A portable parts washing machine using a washing solvent to wash motor parts or the like. The apparatus has a stowed configuration and an operating configuration. In the operating configuration, a solvent container/wash basin is positioned on a base section which also functions as a solvent reservoir. Solvent is recirculated by a pup and recirculating line fro the reservoir to the wash basin, with the solvent washing the parts and then flowing through a drain in the wash basin into a centrifugal filter. The centrifugal filter removes the contaminates, with the solvent returning to the reservoir. In the stowed configuration, the base section, centrifugal filter and solvent recirculating assembly are stowed in the container.
