  • Patent number: 10041544
Abstract: A preloading axle clamp for a wheel bearing includes an axle adapted to receive a wheel bearing and a connecting fork. A bushing is positioned about a first end of the axle. A fastener having a first flange is coupled to the first end of the axle, wherein a portion of the fastener is inserted into the first end to retain the connecting fork on the axle. A nut is threadedly coupled to the bushing, wherein rotation of the nut on the bushing causes a preloading force on the wheel bearing.

  • Patent number: 9120566
Abstract: A torque link member for aircraft landing gear includes a first end for connecting to a lower portion or an upper portion of the aircraft landing gear and a second end for connecting to another torque link member. A locking pin is disposed on one of the upper portion, the lower portion, the first end or the second end. The locking pin is axially movable between an engaged position wherein the pin protrudes for interengagement with a cooperating aperture on the first end, the second end, the upper portion, the lower portion, or the second end of the other torque link member, and a disengaged position. The locking pin is biased toward the engaged position and movable against the biasing to the disengaged position.

  • Patent number: 9108726
Abstract: An aircraft emergency brake system includes a modulating emergency/parking brake valve in fluid communication with and disposed between a pressure source and a wheel brake and a lever assembly operatively connected with the brake valve. The emergency brake system is operative in first and second stages. The lever assembly includes a handle, a lock mechanism and an unlock mechanism. The handle is movable between a non-actuated position and a fully-actuated position. The brake pressure provided to the wheel brake through the brake valve depends on a position of the handle. The lock mechanism is operatively connected with the handle to obstruct the handle from moving from the first stage to the second stage. The unlock mechanism is disposed on the handle to unlock the lock mechanism allowing movement of the handle to the second stage position from the first stage position.

  • Publication number: 20130283959
Abstract: A brake handle assembly for an aircraft emergency/parking brake includes a handle movable between a non-actuated position wherein the brake is disengaged and a full actuated position wherein, during movement therebetween, the brake applies a modulated braking force in an emergency brake state. A button actuator is disposed on the handle. Movement of the handle from the intermediate stop position to the full actuated position is obstructed to prevent inadvertent operation of the brake in the parking brake state unless the button actuator is depressed.
