  • Publication number: 20110148884
Abstract: A system and method of generating a representation or alteration of a subject. One or more devices may be attached to a subject, and a first signal transmitted towards the subject, the first signal interacting with the one or more devices to produce a second signal. The second signal may be received from the subject and data therein processed. A representation or alteration of the subject may then be generated as a function of the processed data.

  • Publication number: 20110148607
Abstract: System and method of for providing haptic feedback to a subject. The method may include providing signals to an electronic interactive device, the device including an array of micro-step motors for contacting a skin surface of the subject and converting the signals to provide input signals to the array of micro-step motors. Haptic feedback may then be provided to the skin surface of the subject in response to the input signals. Exemplary micro-step motors may include two clutching actuators separated by a lateral actuator, each actuator adaptable to operate independently of the other actuators, and a shaft having a motion defined by movement of at least one of the lateral or clutching actuators.

  • Publication number: 20110048843
Abstract: A method, system and device for reproducing sound. The device may include an elongated strip of material having a ridge substantially extending the length and width of the elongated strip. The elevation of the ridge may vary along the length of the elongated strip to produce sound when contacted by a wheel of a vehicle travelling substantially along the length of the elongated strip.
    Type: Application

  • Publication number: 20100249678
Abstract: An apparatus for treating a human body with waves, comprising: (i) an inverse wave generating system comprising a substantially rigid, water-tight shell defining a substantially spherical cavity and having a plurality of individual wave generating elements located at predetermined locations on the inner surface thereof and a diameter sufficient to accommodate at least one human body without it contacting the inner surface of the shell or the individual wave generating elements; and (ii) an external frame for positioning the inverse wave generating system relative to the external environment. These apparatus are useful for applying waves to a human body for therapy.
