  • Patent number: 4688357
Abstract: A multi-purpose stadium system having a plurality of separate sections of stands with front portions of the sections of stands being provided with seating means and wherein the sections of stands are relatively movable so as to change the shape of the surface area viewable from the seating means and to change the seating capacity of the stadium.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4471596
Abstract: A grid which produces a vaultlike appearance on one side comprises a first series of parallel plates extending in one direction and a second series of parallel plates extending in the direction to intersect the first series of plates. At least one of the series of plates is generally concave on the one side; when only one series of plates is generally concave on the one side a tunnel effect is produced with the side edges generally concave, but when both series of plates are generally concave on the one side, a dome appearance is produced. The grid may be used as a ceiling grid and illuminated, if desired, or as an upright partition or divider placed on one edge. The opposite edges of the plates may be equidistant, including any deviations from a curve on which the edges may be laid out. A series of scallops, concave on the one side and convex on the opposite side of each plate may have the length corresponding to the distance between intersecting plates.

  • Patent number: 4078805
Abstract: The game board has playing squares, across or on some of which are placed a river or stream, a railway, mountains or other topographical features. A first set of playing pieces have indicia representing a primary function, such as a town, and a secondary function, such as one or more access roads for the town and leading to one or more of the sides of the playing piece. The first set of playing pieces is provided, on the back, with a mark which distinguishes the first set, when upside down, from the second and third sets. Pieces of the first set are placed at random upside down on the playing board. The second set of pieces have indicia representing a function correlated with the function of the first set of pieces, such as roads extending from the center to one or more sides of the playing piece, and are playable in abutment to pieces of the first set.

  • Patent number: 4021985
Abstract: A series of upright, longitudinally extending baffles are supported in parallel array, with the transverse or secondary baffles being formed by twisting out of the webs of the primary baffles an area initially separated by slots which leave a stem connecting the secondary baffle with the web at two opposed positions, normally the top and bottom. When the secondary baffle is twisted, each of the webs is twisted, as to 90.degree., to support the secondary baffle transversely to the primary baffles. Normally, the secondary baffles extend the same distance to each side of the corresponding primary baffle. The secondary baffles of one primary baffle are normally interspaced with the secondary baffles of the adjacent primary baffles.

  • Patent number: 3969870
Abstract: A baffle assembly comprises a series of cross baffles which are pivotally connected, in depending relation, to a pair of longitudinal baffles, so that the longitudinal baffles and cross baffles may be folded together and thereby reduce considerably the shipping and storage space. Between spaced pairs of such baffle assemblies, a series of transverse baffles may be pivotally connected to angles which rest on outwardly extending ledges of the adjacent baffle assemblies. The space between adjacent baffle assemblies may be covered by lateral extensions of the cross baffles pivoted to the longitudinal baffles.
