  • Patent number: 10194788
Abstract: A lens group for an endoscope or microscope, comprising one or more lens elements, each of uniform refractive index, adapted to: i) focus, with high wavefront aberration correction, driving or excitation light received from an exit tip of an optical waveguide (such as an optical fiber) located substantially against a proximal surface of the lens group to a point observational field with narrow point spread function beyond a distal surface of the lens group (such as outside an optical window located distally relative to the distal surface); and ii) transmit, with high wavefront aberration correction, fluorescence or reflected return light received by the distal surface from the point observational field (and its neighborhood defined by the fluorescence wavelength point spread function) back to the exit tip of the optical waveguide at the fluorescence wavelength.

  • Publication number: 20110178409
Abstract: A microscope, endoscope or optical coherence tomograph, comprising a light source, a flexible light transmitter (18) for receiving and transmitting light from the light source, an optical element (20) with a forward end (30) for receiving the light from the light transmitter (18) and a rear wall (26) having an internal surface for reflecting the light laterally, and an external sleeve (14) enclosing the optical element (20) and transparent to the light in at least a region of the sleeve where the light is directed by the internal surface (26). The internal surface (26) has an optical figure suitable for focussing the light to an observational field (28) external to the sleeve (14). A confocal configuration may be used.

  • Publication number: 20060012121
Abstract: The game is a fishing tournament board game that is played in two parts, each part having seperate paths where players move game pieces along according to the roll of dice. The first path is a series of spaces leading through a tackle shop where players compete for lures. The second path is a series of fish forming a line leading around a body of water where players compete for fish. The game has cards that players use to enter the tackle shop, spaces with depictions of lures, cards that represent lures, cards indicating lures needed to catch fish, areas where lures are lost and a score pad. The game can be played with two to four players, ages eight years to adult.

  • Publication number: 20050161880
Abstract: A fishing game includes a game board, game pieces, cards and fish weight tally sheets. Players compete to see which player can catch the greatest weight in fish within a set limit in total number of fish. Each player has a game piece, which may resemble a boat. The order of playing and the selection of a game piece is determine by a each player throwing the dice. In turn each player throws a pair of dice to see how many moves he will make along the game board. While two dice are thrown, only the number displayed on the upper side of one die is used. Each player moves, one at a time, around the tackle shop to select a lure. Each player is given a “Second Chance” card while shopping for a lure. After each player has selected a lure, then they, in turn, start moving around the fishing area to catch fish. At the end of the game, the player with the fish of greatest total weight wins the game.

  • Patent number: 6152210
Abstract: Twin roll caster for casting metal strip comprises casting rolls (11) between which is formed a casting pool (16) of molten metal. The casting pool is confined at each end of the roll nip by end closure plate (22). Alternating electric current is supplied to electrical conductors (33) disposed outside the closure plate (22) so as to generate an electromagnetic field which extends through the closure plate and pushes back molten metal at the conjunctions (27) between the closure plate (22) and the rolls (11).

  • Patent number: 3988690
Abstract: An input amplifier stage is isolated from the main body of an amplifier and instrument ground by a single transformer which provides both an energy path to the input stage and an amplifier signal path from the input stage using a modulated load technique. The secondary of the transformer, which is connected across the input amplifier, includes a rectifier and filtering components to provide a floating D. C. voltage supply.
