At least for the region of the concrete structure near the surfaces which may come into contact with the hot liquid metal, there is employed a concrete containing aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide, zirconium oxide, or a mixture thereof, in a proportion of 70% by weight to 96.5% by weight.
