Patent number: 12184439Abstract: Devices, systems and methods for configuring structures and environs based on detected users and generic or known itineraries are described. A system may include: a hub having a data store, non-transiently storing computer instructions for a hub tracker engine (THE) and for a hub response engine (HRE) and a processor; a tracker node; and a responding device. The HTE instructs operations including fine or coarse user detection, and tracking operations. The system thereby tracks the user within a structure and determines whether to respond to the user. The HRE configures the responding device as at least one of a current responding device, a next responding device, and a destination responding device. Coarse user detection may include powering-on the tracker node, establishing a tracker link with the hub, communicating a tracker data signal to the hub, and analyzing the tracker data signal for a presence of the user at a location.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 2022Date of Patent: December 31, 2024Assignee: DISH Wireless L.L.C.Inventors: Christopher William Krasny Ergen, Charles W. Publication number: 20240211947Abstract: A computer system receives a verification request from a computer device associated with a digital wallet. The verification request includes identification information identifying an entity associated with the wallet. In response to receiving the verification request, the computer system generates an identity verification token using the KYC standard and based on the identification information. The an identity verification token verifies the entity associated with the wallet. The computer system transmits the identity verification token to the computer device for performing a cryptographic transaction linked to the wallet. The computer system receives a validation request associated with the cryptographic transaction from a transaction server. The validation request includes the identity verification token. In response to receiving the validation request, the computer system validates the identity verification token to generate validation information.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2023Publication date: June 27, 2024Inventors: Christopher William Krasny Ergen, Charles W. Publication number: 20160037223Abstract: Various embodiments are described for skipping, filtering, or replacing content from an audio/video stream using text data associated with the stream, wherein the stream has segments of a show interspersed with commercial breaks. A method for processing the stream determines that a commercial break is currently being output for presentation, and monitors for receipt of a user-initiated command to skip the commercial break. When a user-initiated skip command is received during the commercial break, the method automatically skips to a location in the stream that is at or near an end of the commercial break, and seamlessly continues presentation of the stream from that location. If a skip command is not received during output of the commercial break, then output of the current commercial break continues as usual. This methodology is repeated for all subsequent commercial breaks in the stream.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 9, 2015Publication date: February 4, 2016Applicant: ECHOSTAR TECHNOLOGIES L.L.C.Inventors: Steven M. Casagrande, David A. Kummer, Charles W. Ergen
