  • Publication number: 20180056988
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are disclosed for a vehicle remote starter safety system. An example disclosed vehicle includes range detection sensors and an autonomy unit. The example autonomy unit, in response to receiving a start signal, confirms, via the range detection sensors, that a garage door of a garage in which the vehicle is located is open, starts an engine of the vehicle, and autonomously maneuvers the vehicle out of a garage until a tailpipe of the vehicle is outside the garage.

  • Publication number: 20030016948
Abstract: Apparatus is described for random-access sequencing of audio/visual information that is accessible initially to the apparatus in the form of plural program events available from a source, such as videotape, in a non-random access condition. The apparatus includes a receiver for acquiring the plural program events, and converter/player sub-apparatus for converting such events to a converted, random-access condition, and for playing such converted events. A library such as a optical-magneto disk(s) (OMD's) is, operatively connected to the sub-apparatus for storing the converted events, and switcher structure is, operatively connected to the sub-apparatus and to a desired destination for directing played, converted events toward the latter. The apparatus also includes a controller which further includes a sequencer for regulating the random-access sequence in which converted events are played and sent to the destination.

  • Patent number: 4161268
Abstract: Apparatus for storing, protecting, and carrying first and second snow skis having their bottom surfaces placed adjacent to each other is disclosed, in the preferred embodiment, as a container. The container is thin-walled, elongated, and hollow and includes container portions arranged in a telescopic relation. The preferred three portions of the container can also be locked at any of several desired step locations intended to conform to differing length skis. First and second snow skis are removably captured within the interior of the container first by a protrusion formed integrally with a closed end of one of the container portions which engages and holds the ends of the skis, second by a sloped bottom surface formed integral with the closed end of another container portion which urges the ski tips upward, and third by a depression in the ski case.
