  • Patent number: 7540323
Abstract: A rod actuated downhole well pumping system is provided with spaced apart annular elastomer members secured to the pump rod at predetermined intervals to prevent solids particulates entrained in the pumped fluid from settling down to and clogging the pump mechanism during periods of pumping activity. The elastomer members are provided with longitudinal slits so that they may be sleeved over a pump rod without disconnecting the rod from the pump assembly in retrofitted installations. The elastomer members are preferably secured to the pump rod with a suitable adhesive and are of a diameter at least slightly less than the inner diameter of the tubing through which fluid is being pumped.

  • Patent number: 6135203
Abstract: A downhole reciprocating plunger pump includes an elongated tubular cylinder member which may be made of high-density polyethylene. A bottom inlet valve cage member is threadedly connected to the lower end of the cylinder and includes a reduced diameter portion which, together with the cylinder, forms an annular trash collection space. The pump plunger is connected to an elongated tubular plunger rod which is connected to the pump rod string extending within the well and receive working fluid discharged from the pump chamber through the plunger rod for discharge through ports in the rod into the interior of the cylinder and a tubing string connected to the pump. An elongated sleeve is detachably connected to the upper end of the plunger and forms an annular trash collection chamber with the plunger rod. Detachable valve seats connected to the bottom cage and the plunger, as well as the bottom cage and the plunger, may be formed of thermoplastic.

  • Patent number: 5992517
Abstract: A multicylinder downhole reciprocating plunger pump includes a crankshaft supported on a frame for rotation about an axis generally parallel with the wellbore axis by a submersible electric motor or by a rotary drive rod extending within the well conduit connected to the pump. The pump frame includes spaced apart frame members which support a tubular discharge manifold which supports each cylinder for oscillatory movement in response to rotation of the crankshaft and respective plungers connected to respective crankthrows. Fluid inlet valves are mounted in the plungers and receive inlet fluid through respective crankshaft bearings for each plunger. Fluid discharge valves are retained in respective cylinder head portions by a removable tubular retainer members. Each cylinder includes a liner sleeve with a seal lip biased into engagement with the plunger by a garter spring member.

  • Patent number: 5699858
Abstract: A well pump system including a pulldown anchor which may be lowered into a wellbore on a flexible cable having both ends of the cable retained at the surface until the pulldown anchor reaches a position which will cause a spring biased pawl to prevent the pulldown anchor from being moved upwardly in the well. One end of the cable is then connected to a casing anchor and an elongated casing connected to the casing anchor which is then pulled into the well by the flexible cable. The casing anchor includes a mechanism for actuation upon engagement with the pulldown anchor to cause the casing anchor to be secured in the wellbore and to release the cable for retrieval from the well.

  • Patent number: 4744334
Abstract: A self-contained, solar powered unit predominately used for watering livestock. Fundamentally, the preferred embodiment of the unit is an integrated combination which utilizes a solar collecting panel to generate electricity for powering a fluid pump that pumps fluid into a reservoir tank. The reservoir tank, further, supplies fluid to an adjoined watering trough for access by livestock. The unit is simple, compact, and thus, highly portable while its operation is economical and requires little maintenance.
