  • Patent number: 7284331
Abstract: An improved trimmer guard (15), for use with a trimmer (16) having a motor (18), a head (19) and a shaft (20), comprising a mounting assembly (23) configured to mount to a trimmer shaft, a frame (24) supported by the mounting assembly and a foldable skirt (25) supported by the frame. The frame and the skirt may be configured and arranged to move from a first folded position (26) to a second expanded position (28). The skirt may comprise a material selected from a group consisting of polyethylene film, woven polypropylene, woven nylon, canvas and neoprene. The support frame may comprise a first arm (29) extending from a mounting assembly and a second arm (30) extending from the mounting assembly and the first and second arms may be pivotally connected to the mounting assembly. The first and second arms may pivot from a folded position that is substantially parallel to the shaft outwardly to an expanded position that is in a plane substantially perpendicular to the shaft.

  • Patent number: 5655946
Abstract: An apparatus and method for simulating the feeding of a variety of food types to a child's baby doll is disclosed. The apparatus includes a spoon and a food container. The food container is segmented into three compartments, each of which contains a different simulated food type. Within each compartment is a cam assembly for interaction with a cam follower that is disposed within a spindle that is rotatably mounted within the bowl of the spoon. • Patent number: 5544372
Abstract: A ball and socket joint for connecting one end of a rail member to a base member includes a ball mounted on the end of the rail member. A socket and a radial slot in the base member permit pivoting of the rail section relative to the base between a first position and a second position. The socket also permits rotation of the ball in the socket to permit rotation of the rail member about its longitudinal axis relative to the base member between a locked orientation and a unlocked orientation. When the rail section is in the locked orientation it cannot pivot relative to the base member and when the rail section is in the unlocked position it is free to pivot relative to the base member.

  • Patent number: 5363521
Abstract: A collapsible playpen having a pair of spaced apart articulated end frames, wherein the end frames are separated by articulated upper and lower rails. The end frames and rails are constructed so that the playpen is collapsed by folding the lower rails to draw lower portions of the end frames together and simultaneously rotating the upper portion of the opposing end frames away from each other such that the distance between the upper portion of the end frames is greater than the distance between the lower portion of the end frames.
