Abstract: A premold cap and core with its specific configuration saves labor and material in the making of heavy duty female connectors. The premold core and cap receive female receptacles that are crimped to lead cable. The premold then is cast into a female connector. The female receptacles are capped in place held in insets in the core. The cap is hollow and receives the core locking the female receptacles in place. The cap replaces the prior art fiber disk and presents polarized openings for polarized male pins with flag-like ends. The engaged male pins on a male connector are rotated so that the flag-like end are beneath the polarized openings and cannot be disengaged without rerotation of the connectors.

Abstract: An electrical connection housing assembly for insertion in an interior passage for floor-to-floor electrical transmission of both power and communication includes a first housing comprised of first matter, a second housing comprised of second matter of lesser heat conductivity than the first matter, the second housing having a first portion assembled with the first housing and a second portion extending from the first housing and a divider arrangement for separating respective power and communication cables to be inserted in the assembly from one another. The divider arrangement includes a first divider, comprised of a resilient strip of intumescent material, fixedly supported in the assembly and a second divider removably supported in the assembly and in registry with the first divider for jointly defining respective power and communication channels through the assembly.

Abstract: An abandonment plug assembly for limiting heat and fire passage through an opening formed through a floor, comprises a cover for disposition atop the floor and configured to extend beyond the opening and engage the floor, first and second cup members dependant from the cover and mutually displaceable toward one another to force a substance disposed therebetween into contiguity with the sidewall bounding the opening, an actuator for effecting the displacement of the first and second cup members and intumescent discs depending from the second cup member.

Abstract: A fastener assembly comprising in overlying, stacked relationship a flat washer, an elastically deformable washer and a nut all enclosed in a shroud which assures all components of the assembly are used and in their proper order. The shroud is fashioned with a retaining lip at one end which, as the assembly is tightened, causes the shroud to retreat from the assembly to prevent its retention between the flat washer and the surface about the threaded stud to which the assembly is fastened. By the inclusion of an additional lip the retention of the shroud, after the torque limiting device coupled to the nut has been removed, can be assured.
