  • Publication number: 20250225103
Abstract: Techniques are described for managing execution of programs. In some situations, program execution is managed for multiple users using excess program execution capacity of one or more computing systems. In some such situations, excess or otherwise unused program execution capacity may be made available to execute programs on a temporary basis, such that the programs executing using the excess program execution capacity may be terminated at any time if other preferred use for the excess program execution capacity arises. The excess program execution capacity may in some situations be provided in conjunction with other dedicated program execution capacity that is allocated to particular users, such as to use unused dedicated capacity of some users as excess capacity for other users. In some situations, the techniques are used in conjunction with a fee-based program execution service that executes multiple programs on behalf of multiple users of the service.

  • Patent number: 12224991
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods are provided for cloud-based privacy controls. User content is encrypted using a content encryption key (CEK). The CEK may be double-encrypted by the data producer—the inner envelope is encrypted using keys associated with privacy domains that are authorized to access the user content. The outer envelope is encrypted using a cloud privacy control's public key. When a data consumer requests access the user content, the cloud privacy control evaluates privacy policies and determine whether access should be permitted. If permitted, the cloud privacy control decrypts the outer envelope and provides the inner envelope with CEK to the requestor. Upon receiving the inner envelope, the data consumer may then decrypt the inner envelope with its privacy domain private key to obtain the CEK. The CEK may then be used to perform a decryption and obtain the user content.

  • Publication number: 20240217552
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining a required following behavior when a road actor or vehicle cuts in front of an autonomous vehicle. The appropriate following behavior depends on various factors including road and weather conditions, recovery time gap, minimum time gap for the autonomous vehicle speed, distance between the autonomous vehicle and cut-in vehicle, speed of the autonomous vehicle at the time of cut-in, speed of the cut-in vehicle, time to collision threshold for hard braking, and time to collision threshold for normal braking. Types of following behaviors include emergency deceleration, aggressive deceleration, moderate deceleration, recovery deceleration, some deceleration or following without deceleration. In some examples, the recovery time gap can be set to 3 or more seconds. In some examples, it is set to below 3 seconds. As the recovery time gap increases, the following distance between the autonomous vehicle and a leading vehicle increases.

  • Patent number: 11927017
Abstract: A roofing system and method, which includes elongate rain diverting devices for directing rainwater and snowmelt away from an underlying sheet material and roof deck, is provided. The system includes roofing tiles having strips of hook and loop fasteners (H&L strips) adhered to both faces. The rain diverting devices have an H&L strip adhered along a lower edge of both faces. As each new row of tiles is installed on the roof deck, the device is applied over an upper portion of the tiles, extending over and onto the sheet material above the tiles, and across the roof deck. As additional rows of tiles are installed, each device is releasably attached to underlying and overlying tiles by way of the H&L strips adhered to both the tiles and the device. The devices also allow for single lap tiling (less weight on roof deck) and for use of shorter tiles (saving material cost).

  • Publication number: 20200021738
Abstract: A method of operating an inspection device includes collecting a plurality of successive image frames using an image sensor of the inspection device and displaying the plurality of successive image frames on a display of the inspection device. The method includes processing, via a processor of the inspection device, each image frame of the plurality of successive image frames by determining a motion parameter of each respective image frame and adding each respective image frame to a frame buffer when the respective image frame is motion free. The method includes receiving a control signal from a user interface of the inspection device requesting an image frame output. The method further includes determining, via the processor of the inspection device, a noise-reduced image frame from the frame buffer in response to the control signal and outputting the noise-reduced image frame in response to the control signal.
