  • Patent number: 12659135
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods are provided for cryptographic control access and revocation of data. When data is to be shared between a data producer and a data consumer, a key vault is used to store a consumer-producer key pair that is used to generate a portion of key material that is used to derive an envelope key. Data producer is able to generate the envelope key for encryption using the consumer-producer public key, whereas the data consumer relies on the key vault to provide the portion of key material to produce the envelope key for decryption. Access to data can be revoked through the destruction or of the consumer-producer private key stored in the key vault.

  • Publication number: 20250225103
Abstract: Techniques are described for managing execution of programs. In some situations, program execution is managed for multiple users using excess program execution capacity of one or more computing systems. In some such situations, excess or otherwise unused program execution capacity may be made available to execute programs on a temporary basis, such that the programs executing using the excess program execution capacity may be terminated at any time if other preferred use for the excess program execution capacity arises. The excess program execution capacity may in some situations be provided in conjunction with other dedicated program execution capacity that is allocated to particular users, such as to use unused dedicated capacity of some users as excess capacity for other users. In some situations, the techniques are used in conjunction with a fee-based program execution service that executes multiple programs on behalf of multiple users of the service.

  • Patent number: 12224991
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods are provided for cloud-based privacy controls. User content is encrypted using a content encryption key (CEK). The CEK may be double-encrypted by the data producer—the inner envelope is encrypted using keys associated with privacy domains that are authorized to access the user content. The outer envelope is encrypted using a cloud privacy control's public key. When a data consumer requests access the user content, the cloud privacy control evaluates privacy policies and determine whether access should be permitted. If permitted, the cloud privacy control decrypts the outer envelope and provides the inner envelope with CEK to the requestor. Upon receiving the inner envelope, the data consumer may then decrypt the inner envelope with its privacy domain private key to obtain the CEK. The CEK may then be used to perform a decryption and obtain the user content.

  • Patent number: 11927017
Abstract: A roofing system and method, which includes elongate rain diverting devices for directing rainwater and snowmelt away from an underlying sheet material and roof deck, is provided. The system includes roofing tiles having strips of hook and loop fasteners (H&L strips) adhered to both faces. The rain diverting devices have an H&L strip adhered along a lower edge of both faces. As each new row of tiles is installed on the roof deck, the device is applied over an upper portion of the tiles, extending over and onto the sheet material above the tiles, and across the roof deck. As additional rows of tiles are installed, each device is releasably attached to underlying and overlying tiles by way of the H&L strips adhered to both the tiles and the device. The devices also allow for single lap tiling (less weight on roof deck) and for use of shorter tiles (saving material cost).

  • Patent number: 10400220
Abstract: This invention provides an attenuated virus comprising a modified viral genome engineered to containing multiple nucleotide substitutions that reduce the codon pair bias of a virus protein encoding sequence relative to a first host while the codon pair bias relative to a second host is not substantially reduced. In another embodiment, the invention provides an attenuated virus comprising modified viral genome engineered to containing multiple nucleotide substitutions that reduce the codon pair bias of a virus protein-encoding sequence relative to a first host and a second host. The attenuated virus may be used in a vaccine composition for inducing a protective immune response in a subject. The invention also provides a method of synthesizing the attenuated virus.

  • Publication number: 20080109248
Abstract: In one aspect, a method for comparing suppliers includes sending survey questions for receipt by supplier computer systems. Programming instructions are also sent for receipt and execution by the supplier computer systems. The programming instructions are for causing the supplier computer systems to return supplier survey answers to a server. The answers are included in responding documents and are defined in a certain format as data elements included in the responding documents. The data elements are then parsed from the responding documents responsive to predetermined programming instructions and evaluated the data elements responsive to a predetermined set of rules.

  • Publication number: 20070224050
Abstract: A condensate pump for an HVAC system includes a reservoir with a top assembly, which includes control electronics, a pump motor, and a pump impeller, mounted on top of the reservoir. The condensate pump includes wall hangers. The top assembly has a top cover with four inlet openings, and the top cover is reversible to accommodate placement of the electric service and the evaporator tube. The top cover has tube holders that extend into the reservoir so that the evaporator tube does not bottom out in the reservoir. The reservoir is made of clear plastic so that the water level can be readily observed. The condensate pump has control circuitry that can shut off the HVAC system or sound an alarm when the pump fails. The condensate pump has a drawer for biostat tablets. The drawer passes through the top assembly and extends into reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20060278648
Abstract: A cooler having an integrated seat assembly, includes a cooler body which can have one or more compartments. The cooler body is coupled with a seat assembly bracket by a coupling means, such as a hinge. Seat backs are integrally formed in one sidewall of the cooler body and seat bottoms are formed on the bracket, such that when the bracket is opened, it forms a seat with the seat backs. The bracket can be folded up flat against the cooler in a closed and locked position, for easy storage or transportation.
