  • Publication number: 20260132007
Abstract: A portable lifting machine is disclosed for lifting and transporting loads. The machine may include a base supporting a mast having a plurality of telescoping portions pivotally attached to the base for movement between vertical, angled, and stored positions. A load lifting assembly, including a lift support and a lifting mechanism such as a winch, may be operable to raise and lower the telescoping portions. A pair of base legs and a pair of outrigger legs may be pivotally coupled to the base to provide adjustable stability, with each leg positionable and lockable in multiple orientations. The base may include frame rails with wheels at opposite ends to permit rolling movement and forklift engagement. Dust shields and a mast hold-down mechanism may protect and secure the telescoping portions during use or transport. The lifting machine provides a compact, reconfigurable structure suitable for safe lifting in various environments.

  • Publication number: 20260061656
Abstract: A machining tool is disclosed having an integrated hazard detection and mitigation system to protect an operator from accidental contact with a working element such as a blade or bit. The tool includes a hazard detection system configured to track the position or movement of a human body part relative to the working element in horizontal and vertical directions. A controller processes sensor outputs to identify hazardous conditions and, when detected, activates a hazard mitigation system. The hazard mitigation system employs a scissor linkage assembly and a retraction mechanism operable to rapidly move the working element from a deployed position above a work surface to a retracted position below the work surface. In certain embodiments, the retraction mechanism includes a spring biasing the working element downward and a latch, such as an electromagnet or mechanical latch assembly, that selectively restrains the spring until release is triggered.

  • Patent number: 12328949
Abstract: A method of operating a circuit having a capacitor and a load that are connectable to, and disconnetable from, a voltage source by an electronically controllable switch, the method includes charging the capacitor by raising a voltage across the capacitor from an initial voltage value and at a constant rate by controlling the switch to supply current to the capacitor at a constant current supply rate that is selected to avoid damage to the switch, and then operating the switch to supply current from the voltage source to the capacitor when the voltage across the capacitor reaches the voltage source's voltage.
