  • Patent number: 12328949
Abstract: A method of operating a circuit having a capacitor and a load that are connectable to, and disconnetable from, a voltage source by an electronically controllable switch, the method includes charging the capacitor by raising a voltage across the capacitor from an initial voltage value and at a constant rate by controlling the switch to supply current to the capacitor at a constant current supply rate that is selected to avoid damage to the switch, and then operating the switch to supply current from the voltage source to the capacitor when the voltage across the capacitor reaches the voltage source's voltage.

  • Publication number: 20250018515
Abstract: A table saw dust deflection system as disclosed herein may include a table saw, and a saw dust chute having a main receptacle and a dust exhaust channel. The saw dust chute may improve the collection of sawdust from a table saw. The table saw may include a worksurface and a saw blade extending partially through the worksurface and including an axis. The main receptacle may be shaped to receive a portion of the saw blade and may include a forward upper edge. The dust exhaust channel may include an exhaust channel opening with a forward exhaust channel edge positioned less than 90 degrees from a forwardmost cutting point of the saw blade relative to the axis of the saw blade. The forwardmost cutting point may be defined at a forward intersection point between the saw blade and the worksurface.

  • Publication number: 20240058878
Abstract: A tooling system is disclosed for wood or metal working including a working element, and a work piece engagement surface at least partially surrounding, positioned adjacent to, or positioned proximate to, the working element, the work piece feedable toward the working element or the working element feedable across the work piece when the work piece is positioned against or supported by the work piece engagement surface; wherein the work piece engagement surface includes a low friction and/or non-stick coating. The workpiece engagement surface may be roughened up such that it has an average surface roughness (RA) of between about 1 micrometer and about 4 micrometers to facilitate its adhesion with the low friction coating while providing a low friction coating with a low coefficient of kinetic friction.

  • Publication number: 20230398615
Abstract: A band saw is disclosed that includes a frame, a guide wheel, and a blade disposed around the guide wheel. A guide wheel chassis can be movably disposed on the frame, the guide wheel rotatably disposed on the guide wheel chassis. The band saw can include a blade tension adjustment assembly including a tensioning motor, wherein operation of the tensioning motor produces movement of the guide wheel chassis and the guide wheel relative to the frame to adjust the tension of the blade. A tension gauge can be positioned to determine a tension in the blade, and a controller can be communicated with the tensioning motor and the tension gauge, the controller operable to receive tension data from the tension gauge and control operation of the tensioning motor based on the tension data to control the tension of the blade.

  • Patent number: 11485242
Abstract: A vehicle charging system includes a vehicle charge port having a first connector with one or more first magnets and a plurality of first terminals arranged in a first array. A charge station for the vehicle includes a support and a second connector attached to the support by an articulating mechanism that permits movement of the second connector relative to the support. The second connector has one or more second magnets and a plurality of second terminals arranged in a second array that matches the first array so that the first terminals are connectable to the second terminals when the first and second connectors aligned. The first and second magnets are arranged to move the second terminals, via the articulating mechanism, into alignment with first terminals when the first and second connectors are within a magnetic-coupling range.
