  • Patent number: 10622839
Abstract: An electrical source excites a conductive object. A receiver is electrically connected to the object to receive energy from the object, and can power a device. The object can be non-resonant under excitation by the source, and the receiver is excited into resonance by electrical contact with the object. The object can also be resonant under the excitation by the source, and the receiver receives energy from the resonance of the object.

  • Patent number: 10595890
Abstract: A minimally invasive laparoscopic tissue removal device, namely a morcellator. The device includes, from proximal end to distal end, a handle, handle guard, elongate sheath, and mouth, finally terminating in a safety tip. The elongate sheath and mouth are concentric, such that two elongate, rotating cutting/shredding blades/teeth and one elongate auger feed screw can be positioned along the length of the sheath and mouth. The teeth are opposingly disposed and staggered, such that contact with tissue mass grabs and pulls tissue inwards toward the auger, which transports the tissue proximally toward the outside of the patient's body. A motor unit and gear assembly can be coupled to the teeth and auger to drive rotation of the teeth and auger. A cup assembly can be disposed in overlying relation to the mouth for guiding the tissue mass towards the mouth. Various mechanisms of safely covering the mouth are contemplated as well.

  • Patent number: 10574550
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for monitoring a network and generating overall health scores for communications nodes in the network are described. A monitoring system receives information from a variety of system elements and/or devices which provide information relating to communications service. The information received by the network monitoring system includes information indicating the number of outstanding work orders issued in regard to a trouble report, signal power level variance information, signal alarm information, uncorrectable error information, correctable error information, offline device information, etc. A set of scores for a node are generated based on the different types of received information. The scores are combined using a weighted sum to generate an overall node health score. Nodes are ranked based on overall node health scores and maintenance personal can view the scores as well as the underlying information corresponding to a node to facilitate identification of possible faults.

  • Patent number: 10544376
Abstract: Improved methods for producing colloidal dispersions of cerium-containing oxide nanoparticles in substantially non-polar solvents are disclosed. The cerium-containing oxide nanoparticles of an aqueous colloid are transferred to a substantially non-polar liquid comprising one or more amphiphilic materials, one or more low-polarity solvents, and, optionally, one or more glycol ether promoter materials. The transfer is achieved by mixing the aqueous and substantially non-polar materials, forming an emulsion, followed by a phase separation into a remnant polar solution phase and a substantially non-polar organic colloid phase. The organic colloid phase is then collected.

  • Patent number: 10537288
Abstract: A computer-implemented method including, transmitting a high-spectrum energy wave towards a subject from a first sensor and transmitting a low-spectrum energy wave towards the subject from a second sensor. In response, modulation with a carrier sequence code results in a modulated evoked biological signal. The carrier sequence code has an autocorrelation function. The method includes demodulating the modulated evoked biological signal by calculating a convolution of the modulated evoked biological signal with the carrier sequence code resulting in an evoked biological signal spectrum. The evoked biological signal spectrum has a peak to sideband ratio as a function of the carrier sequence code. The method includes calculating deviations between each element of the sampled evoked biological signal and the peak to sideband ratio and filtering noise artifacts from the sampled evoked biological signal based on the deviations.
