  • Patent number: 8727105
Abstract: A roller insert for a conveyor roller tube includes a cartridge housing having an inside end and an outside end, an outside bearing positioned proximate to the outside end of the cartridge housing, where the outside bearing has an inner race and an outer race, and a stub axle. The stub axle includes an elongate body portion having a drive interface portion positioned distally from the outside end of the cartridge housing. The roller insert also includes a bushing coupled to the inner race of the outside bearing, where the bushing includes a bore portion extending along the inner race of the outside bearing. The roller insert further includes a jacket at least partially surrounding an outer perimeter of the cartridge housing and extending in an axial direction to at least partially encapsulate the outer race of the outside bearing in the axial direction.

  • Patent number: 8641289
Abstract: Sealing members for bearings and bearings incorporating the same are disclosed. A sealing member for a bearing may have a resilient axial seal extending from an outer diameter of the sealing member and a plurality of resilient sealing lips extending radially from an inner diameter of the sealing member. The sealing member may be utilized in a bearing which includes an inner race having a plurality of sealing grooves formed in an outer diameter of the inner race and an outer race including at least one sealing channel formed in an inner diameter of the outer race. The sealing member may be sealingly engaged with the inner race and the outer race such that the plurality of resilient sealing lips are sealingly engaged with the plurality of sealing grooves of the inner race and the resilient axial seal is sealingly engaged with the sealing channel of the outer race.

  • Patent number: 6047847
Abstract: A tippable safety container for shipping and storage of various goods, and for preventing accidental child drownings, comprising a bucket having at least one extension extending from the bottom thereof having a footprint smaller than the footprint of the bottom of the bucket. The container includes a removable lid that is shaped to nestably receive and support a similarly shaped bottom of another container. Preferably, the extension is cylindrical in shape and the bucket has a cylindrically shaped sidewall. In a preferred embodiment, a plurality of extensions in a concentric array extend from the bottom of the bucket.

  • Patent number: 5865290
Abstract: A roller insert for a conveyor roller tube includes a substantially cylindrical cartridge which is shaped to be press fitted into the tube, and may be removable and replaceable. The cartridge has an outboard lip shaped to engage an outer edge of the roller tube and includes a side wall and an annularly shaped inboard backstop. A stub axle is positioned within the cartridge and has a hex shaped tip, which preferably is tapered, projecting outwardly to engage a mounting hole in a conveyor frame. Inboard and outboard bearings are provided to allow rotational movement of the cartridge relative to the stub axle and conveyor frame. The axle includes a retainer, such as a key or bead, which engages the outboard bearing to prevent overextension of the axle. A bushing is mounted on the outboard bearing to facilitate slidable movement of the axle relative to the bearings. A coil spring biasing member is mounted on the axle to urge the axle outwardly from the cartridge.
