  • Publication number: 20070266565
Abstract: A subassembly for a shaving razor that includes a plurality of elongated metal blades that are secured to each other as an integral unit. The plural blades have cutting edges defining a shaving surface, and are secured to each other by weld connections at their respective longitudinal ends.
    Type: Application

  • Publication number: 20070193042
Abstract: A connecting member configured to releasably connect a housing to a razor handle. The connecting member includes a first latch having a first free end and a second latch having a second free end. The first and second free ends define an opening therebetween. The opening has a width dimension wherein the width dimension of an enlarged distal end of a protrusion on a handle is greater than the width dimension of the opening. Insertion of the protrusion into the opening between said first and second latches deflects the first and second latches allowing the enlarged distal end of the protrusion to clear the first and second latches wherein the first and second latches engage with the protrusion.

  • Publication number: 20070062050
Abstract: A storage device, e.g., for a shaving razor and replacement cartridges, including a base member having at least one storage compartment, and one or more sealed packages that are each located in a respective storage compartment. The sealed package contains a shaving cartridge including a plastic housing and a plurality of blades. Each compartment provides a retention force, e.g., by opposed members, to retain a respective package within the compartment with a retention force that is less than a peeling force needed to initiate peeling of a cover layer sealably connected to the stored package. The cover has shaving razor engagement structure for carrying a razor on an external surface of the cover.

  • Publication number: 20060179661
Abstract: The invention features a shaving cartridge for connection to a handle. The shaving cartridge includes a plastic housing having a front portion, a rear portion having a rear surface, two side surfaces extending from the front portion to the rear portion, pivoting structure defining a pivot axis for pivoting of the housing with respect to the handle, and a housing axis extending from the rear portion to the front portion perpendicular to the pivot axis. One or more shaving blades are positioned between the front portion and the rear portion. The one or more blades extend along respective one or more parallel blade axes that are parallel to the pivot axis and located behind the pivot axis.

  • Publication number: 20050198841
Abstract: A shaving razor includes a cartridge having a cartridge housing and a handle. The cartridge housing has a front edge, a rear edge and two side edges extending from the front edge to the rear edge. One or more shaving blades are located on the housing and between the front edge and the rear edge. A connecting member is connected to the cartridge housing and includes a deflectable element defining at least a portion of an opening extending through the connecting member. The handle includes a handle interconnect member that includes a protrusion having an enlarged distal end and angled side surfaces extending from the distal end to a base.
