    Abstract: This invention is a tool for removing plastic lids from pails used in the supply of food stuffs, syrup, paints, and the like. This invention includes a handle with a floating knife blade of such configuration that it is adapted quickly to cut slots around the edge of such a plastic lid and contains, further, a prying means to bend the cut edges in order that the lids may be easily removed.
