  • Publication number: 20250031244
Abstract: An access point, AP, (10) of the wireless communication system determines a set of one or more cooperation schemes for cooperating with one or more further APs (10) of the wireless communication system. Further, the AP (10) determines a setup procedure for setting up cooperation among at least the AP (10) and the one or more further APs (10) based on a cooperation scheme selected from the set of one or more cooperation schemes. Further, the AP (10) sends a message of the setup procedure to the one or more further APs (10). The message indicates a further part of the setup procedure. Based on the setup procedure and the selected cooperation scheme, the AP (10) cooperates with at least one of the one or more further APs (10) in using a transmission opportunity, TXOP, on a wireless medium.

  • Publication number: 20240284507
Abstract: Usage of CSR resources by non-participating wireless station At least one resource is shared on the basis of coordinating spatial reuse of the at least one resource among multiple access points (10). For enabling autonomous spatial reuse of the at least one resource by a wireless station (11) not participating in the coordinated spatial reuse, the usage of autonomous spatial reuse by the wireless station (11) may be subject to certain conditions and limitations, so that adverse effects on the coordinated spatial reuse can be avoided. Signaling for coordinating the spatial reuse among the access points (10) may be used for to allow or disallow that the wireless station (10) performs autonomous spatial reuse.

  • Publication number: 20240214945
Abstract: A wireless station (11) determines a path loss of a wireless signal path between the wireless station (11) and a first access point (10). The first access point (10) cooperates with a second access point (10) by sharing a transmit opportunity based on coordinated spatial reuse of at least one resource of the shared transmit opportunity. Further, the wireless station (11) receives, from the second access point (10), an indication of a level of allowed interference on the at least one resource of the shared transmit opportunity. Based on the determined path loss and the indication of the level of allowed interference, the wireless station (11) controls a transmit power of at least one wireless random access transmission performed on the at least one resource of the shared transmit opportunity from the wireless station (11) to the second access point (10).

  • Publication number: 20240147387
Abstract: A wireless communication device is operated to transmit information on a random access channel of a network node. Operation involves determining a first transmit power level for a transmission of the information, and selecting a first transmission time for the transmission of the information, wherein the selected first transmission time is determined by a number drawn from a first contention window, and wherein the selected first transmission time corresponds to a first amount of time delay that must elapse before transmission of the information occurs. The information is transmitted at the selected first transmission time, at the first transmit power level. When the transmitted information was not successfully received by the network node, a size of a second contention window is determined based on a size of the first contention window and on the first transmit power level.

  • Publication number: 20240015787
Abstract: An access point (10) of a wireless communication system contends for access to a medium. In response to gaining access to the medium, the access point (10) reserves a transmission opportunity, TXOP, on the medium. The access point (10) cooperates with one or more further access points (10) of the wireless communication system by sharing the TXOP based on spatial reuse of at least some radio resources of the TXOP for transmission of multiple physical protocol data units, PPDUs, by each of the access points (10). Further, the access point (10) coordinates transmissions of acknowledgment information for each of the multiple PPDUs within the TXOP.

  • Publication number: 20240008080
Abstract: Channel access coordination for TXOP sharing An access point of a wireless communication system operates on a primary bandwidth part 5 (Ch2, Ch3) of a medium. This operation on the primary bandwidth part (Ch2, Ch3) is based on carrier sensing to gain access to the primary bandwidth part of the medium. Further, the access point scans a secondary bandwidth part (Ch1, Ch2) of the medium to detect control messages transmitted on the secondary bandwidth part (Ch1, Ch2), without performing carrier sensing to gain access to the secondary bandwidth part (Ch1, Ch2) of the medium. Further, the AP 10 detects a control message indicating that another AP reserved a transmission opportunity, TXOP, on the secondary bandwidth part (Ch1, Ch2) of the medium. In response to the control message, the AP cooperates with the other AP by sharing the TXOP for performing one or more transmissions of data.

  • Publication number: 20230319866
Abstract: A wireless device (AP1) contends for access to a medium. In response to gaining access to the medium, the wireless device (AP1) reserves a TXOP on the medium. Further, the wireless device (AP1) configures a set of resources (501, 502, 503) in the reserved TXOP to be available to at least one other wireless device (AP2, STA31) for one or more transmissions of data (D) arriving after beginning of the TXOP.

  • Publication number: 20230292363
Abstract: An access point of a wireless communication system configures a carrier for communication with one or more wireless devices associated with the access point. Further, the access point contends at least with one or more other access points for access to the carrier. Further, the access point cooperates with the one or more further access points by sharing a transmission opportunity, TXOP. The TXOP is reserved on the carrier by one of the access points, in response to this access point gaining access to the carrier. Before transmitting data in the shared TXOP, the access point performs a Ready-to-Send/Clear-to-Send, RTS/CTS, procedure. Further, the access point coordinates the RTS/CTS procedure with an RTS/CTS procedure respectively performed by each of the one or more other access points sharing the TXOP.

  • Publication number: 20230171806
Abstract: An access point of a wireless communication system configures a carrier for communication with one or more wireless devices associated with the access point. Based on a backoff counter maintained by the access point, the access point contends for access to the carrier to transmit data. In response to another access point winning contention for access to the carrier, the access point cooperates at least with the access point winning the contention by sharing a transmission opportunity reserved on the carriers by the access point winning the contention and transmitting at least a part of the data in the shared transmission opportunity. During the shared transmission opportunity the access point pauses the backoff counter.

  • Patent number: 11490420
Abstract: A technique for performing a multi-layer transmission of data on a radio frequency is described. The multi-layer transmission comprising multiple layers each having a different robustness on the radio frequency. As to a method aspect of the technique, a contention procedure is performed with respect to each of a plurality of access classes, ACs, for accessing the radio frequency. The multi-layer transmission is performed upon success of the contention procedure of at least one of the ACs. In a transmission opportunity defined by the successful contention procedure, data associated with the successful AC is transmitted on a main layer of the multi-layer transmission simultaneously with data associated with at least one further AC on at least one further layer, which is less robust than the main layer of the multi-layer transmission.
