  • Patent number: 9983374
Abstract: Techniques for WDM Mux/DeMux on cable and methods of making the same are described According to one aspect of the present application, a unit designed to provide multiplexing or demultiplexing (Mux/Demux) functions is implemented on cable. In other words, the Mux/Demux unit is coupled by a multi-fiber cable to a system (e.g., a system rack for router or switch that has multiple pluggable transceiver slots).

  • Publication number: 20180128983
Abstract: In various embodiments, free-space optical collimator and multi-channel wavelength division multiplexers including free-space optical collimators are provided. In one embodiment, for example, a free-space optical collimator includes a base having a length, a generally flat bottom surface and a top surface. A groove is disposed along the top surface of the base extending through the length of the base. A lens is disposed within the groove of the base and a fiber optic pigtail is disposed generally adjacent to a focal point of the lens. The lens and fiber optic pigtail are aligned within the groove to reduce an off-angle offset of an optical light signal propagating through the free-space optical collimator. In other embodiments, a process of producing a free-space optical collimator is also provided.

  • Patent number: 9792622
Abstract: A power transmitting device includes a processor circuit. The processor circuit receives messages, such as advertising messages and/or scan response messages, from power receiving devices. The messages include device specific data that pertains to the corresponding power receiving devices that transmitted the messages. The device specific data includes, for example, data pertaining to the hardware, firmware, charging state, and/or device state of the corresponding power receiving device. The processor circuit selects one of the power receiving devices based in part on the device specific data contained in the messages. The processor circuit initiates a wireless power transfer connection to the selected one of the power receiving devices.

  • Patent number: 8985869
Abstract: Designs of pluggable optical passive devices are described. Such a pluggable optical passive device can be inserted into an existing configuration. According to one embodiment, the pluggable optical passive device is formed as an elongated enclosure with one or two first connectors on one side thereof and one or two second connectors on the other side thereof. The first connectors are provided to be coupled to female pluggers while the second connectors are provided to be coupled to male pluggers. Depending on implementation, the first and second connectors may be glued onto or skewed into the enclosure through holes, and may be further extended by a flexible pigtailed dual LC connector.

  • Publication number: 20150066640
Abstract: A power transmitting device may include at least one processor circuit. The at least one processor circuit may be configured to receive messages, such as advertising messages and/or scan response messages, from one or more power receiving devices. The messages may include device specific data that pertains to the corresponding power receiving devices that transmitted the messages. The device specific data may include, for example, data pertaining to the hardware, firmware, charging state, and/or device state of the corresponding power receiving device. The at least one processor circuit may be further configured to select one of the power receiving devices based at least in part on the device specific data contained in the messages. The at least one processor circuit may be further configured to initiate a connection to the selected one of the power receiving devices, such as a connection for wireless power transfer.
