  • Patent number: 11453002
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a microfluidic device configured to deliver a controlled amount of a liquid to an analysis tool, wherein the microfluidic device comprises: a buffer tank configured to contain a liquid and/or a gas; at leas one level sensor configured to measure a liquid level in the buffer tank; a pneumatic system configured to create selectively a positive or a negative pressure in the buffer tank; at least one intake port to let in a liquid in the buffer tank; at least one delivery port to inject a controlled amount of liquid from the buffer tank onto the analysis tool; at least one drain port with a controlled drain valve, located on the lower part of the buffer tank to discharge the liquid from the buffer tank; a first check valve located upstream of the intake port and a second check valve between the buffer tank and the analysis tool.

  • Publication number: 20220161262
Abstract: A microfluidic apparatus for delivering droplets of a first fluid to droplets of a second fluid, comprising a main channel, with a carrier fluid carrying droplets of the second fluid, an auxiliary channel, fluidly coupled to the main channel at a first intersection via a first orifice with a first fluid interface, and at a second intersection downstream to the first intersection via a second orifice with a second fluid interface, wherein a flow of the carrier fluid induces a difference of pressure between the first and second orifice generating a balance condition such that a meniscus of the second fluid interface is maintained in the auxiliary channel, at the vicinity of the second orifice, wherein a balance deviation triggers a release of a volume of the first fluid from the second fluid interface into the main channel.

  • Patent number: 11079364
Abstract: A device (1) comprising a cavity (5) defining an internal volume, an air quality sensor (9) being adapted to measure a concentration of at least one air compound present in the internal volume, the cavity (5) can be alternatively in: an open state in which air can enter into the cavity (5) from the outside of the cavity (5), and a closed state in which no air can circulate between the outside and the inside of the cavity (5), the air quality sensor (9) being adapted to be calibrated when the cavity (5) is in the closed state and once the internal volume no longer comprises the air compound or comprises a concentration of the air compound that is below a predefined threshold.
