Abstract: A mask carrying system comprising a housing that can have a front portion detachably coupled to a back portion, and an outer surface and an inner surface defining an exterior and an interior of the housing. A mask carrying system can further comprise a disinfectant to disinfect an item on the interior of the housing to a 2-log reduction of at least one pathogen. The disinfectant can be a plurality of ultraviolet lights illuminating the interior of the housing. The front portion can substantially conform to a mask shape. The connector plate can be coupled to a power source wherein the power source supplies power to the disinfectant.
