  • Publication number: 20080252458
Abstract: An electronic device including an electronic device body, a remote unit, an identification unit and a tag is provided. The remote unit has a first switch. The identification unit is disposed in the electronic device body, and the tag is disposed in the remote unit. When the remote unit is close to the electronic device body and the first switch is turned on, the identification unit is capable of identifying the tag to activate the electronic device body. Because the electronic device body is activated after the tag is identified by the identification unit, the invention is able to reduce the theft rate of the electronic device body by separately storing the electronic device body and the remote unit.

  • Publication number: 20080225241
Abstract: A projector includes a housing, a projecting module, a first luminance sensor, a second luminance sensor and a control module. The projecting module includes a light source for emitting light, a light valve for modulating the light into image light, and a projection lens for projecting the image light to a screen. The first luminance sensor senses the luminance of the image projected on the screen. The second luminance sensor senses the ambient luminance. The control module adjusts luminance of the light emitted from the light source according to sensed results of the two luminance sensors.

  • Publication number: 20080055474
Abstract: A projection apparatus includes a projection unit, an image processing unit, and a detection module. The projection unit receives an image output signal, and converts the image output signal into an image light beam for projecting a projection image. The detection module detects a placement orientation of the projection apparatus, and generates a placement signal according to the placement orientation detected thereby. The image processing unit is coupled to the projection unit and the detection module, and generates the image output signal to the projection unit. The image processing unit receives an image source signal, and adjusts the image source signal to result in the image output signal such that the projection image corresponding to the image output signal is rotated by a predetermined angle. The projection apparatus automatically detects the placement orientation and corrects the angle of the projection image, and user manual setting is no longer required.

  • Publication number: 20060244927
Abstract: A projector includes a casing having a front wall formed with a first opening and a second opening. A heat dissipating structure includes a plurality of elongated fins mounted vertically within the second opening in the casing, a connecting rod disposed in the second opening to extend in a horizontal direction and fastened operably to the fins in such a manner that a horizontal movement of the connecting rod in the second opening results in a tilt angle of the fins with respect to the front wall of the casing, and a push rod fixed to one of the fins and projecting outwardly from the casing via the second opening. The push rod can be manually manipulated in the leftwise or rightwise direction of the casing to result in a change of the tilt angle of the fins relative to the front wall of the casing.
