  • Patent number: 8284022
Abstract: A motor vehicle door arrangement with at least one motor vehicle door and a drive for motorized movement of the motor vehicle door from the closed position into the open position and from the open position into the closed position and with a control for triggering the drive, the control being assigned an optionally actuatable mobile part which the user generally carries and which interacts with the control means over a wireless transmission link when the user approaches the motor vehicle, enhanced actuation automatically carrying out opening and/or a closing as triggered by a predetermined process of use and without the necessity of actuating the mobile part. With respect to enhanced actuation, the control means, especially with the vehicle stopped, can be moved into the activated and deactivated states, and can be triggered by the predetermined usage process exclusively when the control means is in the activated state.

  • Patent number: 7568740
Abstract: Motor vehicle lock with a ratchet, latch, actuation lever, internal actuation chain, external actuation chain and a control, the ratchet having an engagement position in which it holds the latch in the closed position, and a raised position in which the latch is released, the ratchet being movable from the engagement position into the raised position by the actuating lever, the control having different operating states and depending on the state, the ratchet is actuatable via the actuation lever by the internal actuation chain from an inside door handle and/or by the external actuation chain from an outside door handle or not at all. In the base state, the internal actuation chain and the external actuation chain are coupled to the actuation lever and the internal actuation chain and/or the external actuation chain can be decoupled from the actuation lever by the control depending on the operating state.

  • Patent number: 7452013
Abstract: The present invention relates to a motor vehicle lock having a lock catch and a locking pawl. The lock catch may be brought into an opening position, a main locking position and a preliminary locking position. The locking pawl can be brought into a lowered and raised position. The locking pawl may be arranged to hold and release the lock catch in a direction of its opening position. A memory element is assigned to the locking pawl and arranged to keep the locking pawl in the raised position. The memory element may operate with a control apparatus. The locking pawl may be releasable by motor from the raised position and may further be moveable in a direction of its lowered position unhindered by the memory element. The release by motor of the locking pawl is controllable at a predetermined triggering time by the control apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7384080
Abstract: A motor vehicle lock with a blocking element (2), with a electrical opening drive (3) for the blocking element (2), with control electronics (8) in the motor vehicle lock or separately from it in the motor vehicle, by which individual functions of the motor vehicle lock can be electrically triggered, and a lock mechanism by which individual functions can also be mechanically triggered. The opening drive (3) has a drive element (6) which can be driven in two opposing directions of motion, movement of the drive element in the first direction of motion releases or open the blocking element (2) and movement in the second direction of motion turns on (or off) the second function of the motor vehicle lock. The lock has an especially simple structure since turning off the second function takes place without moving the opening drive (3) in the second direction of motion exclusively by electrical control.

  • Publication number: 20080018283
Abstract: A drive arrangement for the motorized movement of a functional element in a motor vehicle. An electric drive motor moves the functional element in two directions via a first drive train and a second drive train. The drive force is transmitted simultaneously via the two drive trains in at least one of the two directions of movement of the functional element. One of the two drive trains comprises cable-operated speed transforming transmission with a drive cable which is used to transmit drive force while the other of the two drive trains is a cableless drive train. A differential with two outputs can optionally be connected downstream from the drive motor with the drive trains then extending from the outputs of the differential.

  • Publication number: 20080005913
Abstract: A first position detection arrangement for a functional element (1) which can be positioned by a motor in a motor vehicle, a drive arrangement (2) being coupled via a drive train (3) to the functional element (1) and the functional element (1) thus being positionable by a motor, there being two incremental rotary transducers (4, 5) which are assigned to the drive train (3) and there being a control (6) which is coupled to the rotary transducers (4, 5). It is suggested that the arrangement is made such that, when the functional element (1) is being positioned, an offset arises between the rotary transducer signals of the two rotary transducers (4, 5), the control means (6) being designed such that it determines the absolute position of the functional element (1) from the offset.

  • Patent number: 7311330
Abstract: A motor vehicle safety mechanism has a component which can be displaced out of a rest position suddenly into an action position by release of a holding device. Such a motor vehicle safety mechanism is, for example, a head support/roll bar which extends automatically in an accident. The holding device has a latch which fixes the component in the rest position and a ratchet arrangement which holds the latch in the action or engagement position. The ratchet arrangement has ratchet kinematics and an adjustable blocking element. By moving the latch out of the engagement position into the direction of the release position, the ratchet kinematics are moved and the blocking element blocks the movement of the ratchet kinematics.

  • Patent number: 7261013
Abstract: A motor vehicle component with a drive having a motor, a gearing and a component which is movable by the drive, the motor being coupled to a driving side of the gearing and a driven side of the gearing being coupled to the movable component, a kinematic chain of the gearing between the driving side and the driven side having at least two transmission elements. The drive is operable in blocking operation by a displaceable blocking element that is movable into blocking engagement with the drive. The displaceable blocking element is in addition to the drive and the adjustable component, and is engaged in a controlling manner with the first transmission element of the kinematic chain so that, depending on the position of a first transmission element, it can be moved into blocking engagement with a second transmission element of the kinematic chain.

  • Publication number: 20070175099
Abstract: A drive arrangement is provided for motorized pivotal movement of a vehicle door. The drive has a self-locking motor unit, a gear connected downstream of the motor unit for producing linear drive movement, and a clutch connected therebetween. The clutch can be moved into an engaged state in which the motor unit for nominal operation is engaged to the vehicle door. When the motor unit is turned off, manual movement of the vehicle door is blocked. The clutch can be moved into a released state in which the motor unit is separated from the vehicle door in terms of drive engineering. The clutch can be moved into the intermediate engaged state with reduced transmission moment and force so that the vehicle door is kept in its current position at any time by self-locking of the motor unit, but can be moved by manual actuation with a minimum actuation force.

  • Patent number: 7234736
Abstract: A motor vehicle door lock with latching elements, such as a latch and a ratchet and with a lock mechanism. The lock mechanism has a drive, the drive having a drive motor, or the like, and an actuating element. The ratchet can be raised by the drive, so that the ratchet moves into an action area of the drive, such that continued motion of the drive is blocked by the ratchet. Thus, the drive can be turned off in a blocking operation. The ratchet, viewed in the kinematic chain from the drive motor to the actuating element, is engaged to the drive for blocking in front of the actuating element but not on the actuating element.

  • Patent number: 7111878
Abstract: A motor vehicle lock includes a latch and a ratchet arrangement. The latch is able to swivel around a swivelling axis, and be moved into an open position, a main locked position and optionally a preliminary locked position. The ratchet arrangement is able to be moved into at least one holding position and into a release position. The ratchet arrangement when in the holding position, keeps the latch, in any case, in the main locked position. The ratchet arrangement includes ratchet kinematics and an adjustable blocking element. By resetting the latch out of the main locked position in the direction of the open position the ratchet kinematics is moved and when the ratchet arrangement is in the holding position the blocking element blocks the movement of the ratchet kinematics which can be caused by the latch and thus blocks the resetting of the latch.
