Abstract: A system and method for calibrating a set-point for climate control includes a sensor network having a plurality of sensors configured to report a climate condition. A database is configured to receive reports from the sensors and generate one or more profiles reflecting at least one of historic climate control information and occupant preferences. A controller is configured to receive information from the profiles to generate a set-point based upon an optimization program. The optimization program is implemented to balance competing goals to generate the set-point for controlling climate control equipment in accordance with the set-point.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for generating a description of a component of an automation system comprises describing the component as a plurality of inputs and outputs, generating a vendor-independent component description file based on a description of the component as the plurality of inputs and outputs, updating the vendor-independent component description file to include vendor-specific hardware information and hardware control logic, and creating the component based on an updated vendor-specific component description.

Abstract: A method for multimedia collaboration between a plurality of users including a host of a collaboration event includes storing an interface representative of the plurality of users in a memory location commonly accessible to the users; creating a composite document from selected source materials; selectively annotating the composite document; and personalizing the composite document with browser based annotations to form a collaboration document. A step of selecting a collaboration mode includes selecting a plurality of offline, near real time, real time, and disconnected modes and causing a selective seamless transition from one selected mode to another.
