Abstract: A radio frequency (RF) identification tag including a substrate, a planar antenna, an RF chip, a plurality of signal conductors and a plurality of ground conductors is provided. The RF chip receives an RF signal from the planar antenna to generate an identification code. The signal conductors are coupled to the planar antenna. The ground conductors, interlaced on two opposite sides of the signal conductors, and the signal conductors are adjacent to each other and disposed on the substrate to form a coplanar waveguide structure which includes an impedance match portion and a transmission portion. The impedance match portion has an input end coupled to the signal conductors and a ground plane coupled to the ground conductors. The RF chip is disposed between the input end and the ground plane. The transmission portion is connected between the impedance match portion and the planar antenna.

Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus are described to provide visual feedback of a change in map view. Various embodiments may display a map view of a map in a two-dimensional map view mode. Embodiments may obtain input indicating a change to a three-dimensional map view mode. Input may be obtained through the utilization of touch, auditory, or other well-known input technologies. Some embodiments may allow the input to request a specific display position to display. In response to the input indicating a change to a three-dimensional map view mode, embodiments may then display an animation that moves a virtual camera for the map display to different virtual camera positions to illustrate that the map view mode is changed to a three-dimensional map view mode.

Abstract: A sampling circuit of the power converter according to the present invention comprises an amplifier circuit receiving a reflected voltage for generating a first signal. A first switch and a first capacitor are utilized to generate a second signal in response to the reflected voltage. A sample-signal circuit generates a sample signal in response to the disable of a switching signal. The switching signal is generated in accordance with a feedback signal for regulating an output of the power converter. The feedback signal is generated in accordance with the second signal. The sample signal is utilized to control the first switch for sampling the reflected voltage. The sample signal is disabled once the first signal is lower than the second signal. The sampling circuit precisely samples the reflected voltage of the transformer of the power converter for regulating the output of the power converter.

Abstract: Systems and methods for media aggregation are disclosed herein. The system includes a media system that can transform media items into one aggregated media item. A synchronization component synchronizes media items with respect to time. The synchronized media items can be analyzed and transformed into an aggregated media item for storage and/or display. In one implementation, the aggregated media item is capable of being displayed in multiple ways to create an enhanced and customizable viewing and/or listening experience.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a reporting allocation unit, an indicator interpretation unit and methods of operating a reporting allocation unit and an indicator interpretation unit. In one embodiment, the reporting allocation unit includes an indicator configuration module configured to provide reporting interval and offset values of corresponding rank and channel quality indicators for user equipment. The reporting allocation unit also includes a sending module configured to transmit the reporting interval and offset values to the user equipment.

Abstract: A prism including a substrate faceted to provide a plurality of flat surfaces, wherein at least two of the plurality of surfaces, each including a filter coating, form at least two filter surfaces, wherein each filter surface selectively permits passage of a predetermined wavelength and reflects remaining wavelengths along an optical path towards another of the plurality of surfaces, optionally another filter surface, wherein an angle of incidence of each of the plurality of surfaces along the optical path is equal or nearly equal. An apparatus incorporating the prism and its use for splitting a light spectrum into a plurality of wavelengths or wavelength ranges.

Abstract: An apparatus and method uses location based authentication of a user accessing a virtual machine (VM) by using the physical location of the virtual machine as a criteria for the authentication. When a user requires a logical partition to run in a known, specified physical location, the user specifies the physical location when the VM is created. The specified physical location is then incorporated into the user authentication process. Users are challenged and must know the physical location in order to be authenticated to the system. When a “disruptive event” in the cloud environment occurs that necessitates moving the VM to another location, the original physical location is stored so the virtualization manager later can automatically relocate the VM back to its original physical location.

Abstract: A server system maintains data indicative of credentials held by multiple different users. Each of the credentials has been issued by a credential granting authority that is separate from an entity that operates the server system. The server system receives selection data that indicates how credential data of a first user is to be made available to other users. Based on the selection data, the server system stores availability data that indicates how credential data of the first user is to be made available to the other users. The server system also maintains a location of a mobile computing device associated with the first user and, based on the availability data and the location, provides, to at least a second user, information about at least one credential held by the first user in association with an indication of the location.

Abstract: Methods and compositions relating to motor neurons derived from induced pluripotent stem cells of subjects having a neurodegenerative disease, where the motor neurons exhibit phenotypes characteristic of the neurodegenerative disease, are provided herein. In particular, the present invention provides methods for screening putative therapeutic agents and methods for diagnosing living subjects as having a neurodegenerative disease. In addition, the present invention provides therapeutic gene transfer methods for treating or preventing a neurodegenerative disease in a subject in need thereof.

Abstract: A non-volatile memory device includes a memory core storing data to be output from the memory core according to an external clock signal, an input buffer receiving the external clock signal and providing an input clock signal, and a synchronization circuit including a delay circuit and configured to receive the input clock signal, provide an output clock signal, and synchronize the output clock signal to the external clock signal. The device further includes a data strobe output buffer receiving the output clock signal and providing a data strobe signal having a signal delay configurable relative to the external clock signal, a clocked circuit element receiving the data and the output clock signal and outputting the data in synchronism with the output clock signal, and a delay control circuit providing a delay control signal to the delay circuit to modify the signal delay of the data strobe signal.

Abstract: A cushioning wheel member has an annular body, an axis and multiple cushioning spokes. The annular body has a through hole defined axially through the annular body. The axis is mounted axially and located centrally in the through hole of the annular body. The cushioning spokes are curved and resilient, are deformed to decentralize the axis with external force applied to the cushioning spokes and recover to centralize the axis with removal of the external force. Each cushioning spoke has two ends, and one end of the cushioning spoke is connected to an inner annular surface of the annular body and the other end is connected to the axis. The cushioning spokes are structurally simple and light and may be deformed when encountering external force or impact and therefore provide excellent press-engaging effect and cushioning effect when installed in an ink ribbon cassette and a light duty carrier.

The accumulator unit receives and adds up a frequency control word and a first accumulation value to generate a second accumulation value. The processor unit coupled to the accumulator unit receives the second accumulation value. The processor unit generates a driving signal according the second accumulation value and the preset value and adjusts the second accumulation value for outputting the first accumulation value.

Both sides of the valve body are formed with an opposing bar along the axial direction of the flow channel. A shell is clamped on the opposing bars and is formed with a first accommodating space. A bottom cover is fixed to the bottom of the shell and is inwardly concaved formed a second accommodating space. A restriction site is formed on the outer wall of the opposing bars along the axial direction of the flow channel, both sides of the shell are symmetrically formed with a guiding part and a plurality of clamping parts, and the guiding parts guide the opposing bars to allow the clamping parts adjust the clamping position on the restriction site, thereby adjusting the position of the valve body in the first and second accommodating spaces.

A funnel-shaped opening is formed in a dielectric layer and a gate electrode is formed in the funnel-shaped opening, thereby providing a gate electrode having an open profile. In some embodiments, first and second gate spacers are formed alongside a dummy gate electrode. The dummy gate electrode is removed and upper portions of the first and second gate spacers are removed. The first and second gate spacers may be formed of different materials having different etch rates.

Abstract: A loading unit assembly used for a linear surgical stapler, which includes a staple cartridge frame and a knife driver beam. The knife driver beam has a movable safety block defined on a surface of a proximal end thereof, and a protrusion is correspondingly defined on the staple cartridge frame. When the loading unit assembly is at its initial position, a front surface at a distal end of the safety block engages with the protrusion to stop a movement of the knife driver beam and the safety block. When the loading unit assembly is at its working position, the safety block is relatively separated from the protrusion.
