  • Patent number: 8992153
Abstract: Introduction of substrates into vacuum environment is accomplish by gradually reducing the number of substrates being transferred simultaneously as the clean and evacuated environment is progressed. Cassettes are maintained in clean atmospheric environment and do not enter the vacuum environment. Several vacuum locks are linearly staggered so as to introduce progressively higher level of vacuum environment. The number of substrates transported through this arrangement is a portion of the number of substrates present in each cassette. The staggered vacuum locks lead to a series of processing chambers, wherein a yet smaller number of substrates, e.g., one or two, are transported.

  • Patent number: 8994067
Abstract: The present invention relates to a technique of semiconductor devices, and provides a semiconductor device, which uses two controllable current sources to control the electron current and the hole current of the voltage-sustaining region of a thyristor under conduction state, making the sum of the two currents from anode to cathode close to a saturated value under high voltage, thus avoiding the current crowding effect in local region and increasing the reliability of the device. Besides, it further provides a method of implementing the two current sources in the device and a method to improve the switching speed.

  • Patent number: 8995903
Abstract: A camera detects devices, such as other cameras, smart devices, and access points, with which the camera may communicate. The camera may alternate between operating as a wireless station and a wireless access point. The camera may connect to and receive credentials from a device for another device to which it is not connected. In one embodiment, the camera is configured to operate as a wireless access point, and is configured to receive credentials from a smart device operating as a wireless station. The camera may then transfer the credentials to additional cameras, each configured to operate as wireless stations. The camera and additional cameras may connect to a smart device directly or indirectly (for instance, through an access point), and the smart device may change the camera mode of the cameras. The initial modes of the cameras may be preserved and restored by the smart device upon disconnection.

  • Patent number: 8997074
Abstract: Techniques for replacing ROM-based (Read-Only Memory) DLLs (Dynamic Link Libraries) in a Windows CE type embedded operating system such that the target DLL is replaceable by the hook DLL, and the target DLL is callable by the hook DLL but not callable directly by any other applications after loading of the hook DLL. The techniques enable replacement irrespective whether the hook DLL and the target DLL have the same name and irrespective of which DLL is loaded first. The techniques change the file name of the target DLL in a list of loaded DLL modules by a trusted program that executes in the full kernel mode.

  • Patent number: 8995998
Abstract: Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate communicating PSC split information regarding neighboring cells. The PSC split information can be transmitted in one or more overhead messages selected based on network deployment. Where macro cells and femto cells provide PSC split information, which can be a PSC range for related cells, PSC list, etc., the information can be transmitted in a low priority overhead message since it can be obtained at a source cell. Where only femto cells or closed subscriber group (CSG) cells provide PSC split information, the information can be transmitted in a higher priority more frequently transmitted message. In this regard, the information is available at target cells since not all devices can access CSG cells. Thus, by providing the PSC split information in a more frequently transmitted message, devices can retrieve the PSC split information early on in communications to lower power consumption.

  • Patent number: 8993429
Abstract: To form an interconnect conductor structure, a stack of pads, coupled to respective active layers of a circuit, is formed. Rows of interlayer conductors are formed to extend in an X direction in contact with landing areas on corresponding pads in the stack. Adjacent rows are separated from one another in a Y direction generally perpendicular to the X direction. The interlayer conductors in a row have a first pitch in the X direction. The interlayer conductors in adjacent rows are offset in the X direction by an amount less than the first pitch. Interconnect conductors are formed over and in contact with interlayer conductors. The interconnect conductors extend in the Y direction and have a second pitch less than the first pitch.
