Abstract: Implementations described herein provide various implementations of gate based alignment patterns for semiconductor process alignment of a substrate on which semiconductor devices are manufactured. In some implementations described herein, a gate based alignment pattern may be included in an alignment mark region in a semiconductor device that is manufactured on the substrate. The alignment mark region may include a plurality of gate structures that are etched to form gate based alignment pattern. The use of the gate based alignment pattern may reduce the likelihood of and/or may prevent the gate based alignment pattern from becoming obscured or covered by residual material byproducts from one or more semiconductor processing operations that are performed to form various layers and/or structures of the semiconductor device.

Abstract: An imaging system includes an image sensing unit and a processing unit. The image sensing unit captures a plurality of images of an object, wherein each of the images includes a plurality of pixels. The processing unit obtains a plurality of sets of image data according to the images, wherein each set of image data includes a plurality of characteristic values. The processing unit calculates a plurality of difference parameters of the characteristic values of every two sets of image data. The processing unit accumulates the difference parameters within a predetermined time period to obtain a plurality of accumulated difference parameters corresponding to the pixels. The processing unit determines a plurality of weighting values corresponding to the pixels according to the accumulated difference parameters. The processing unit performs an image processing process according to the sets of image data and the weighting values.

Abstract: A remote control unit includes a housing, at least one pushbutton, a signal transmitter and a detection circuit. The pushbutton is disposed on the housing. The signal transmitter is mounted rotatably on the housing and capable of being switched between first and second positions. The detection circuit is coupled electrically to the pushbutton and the signal transmitter for generating a control signal upon detecting activation of the pushbutton. The signal transmitter transmits a first function signal when the signal transmitter is disposed at the first position and a second function signal different from the first function signal when the signal transmitter is disposed at the second position.

Abstract: A multi-function portable table includes two cases, which are jointed to each other by hinges and are releasably fixed to each other by at least one releasable buckle mounted therebetween at one lateral side opposite so as to allow the cases to be expanded in a rotation manner. The cases have opposing surfaces in which cavities are defined. Foldable legs are arranged in the cavities. The cases that are expanded to form a tabletop are supported by the legs that are expanded from inside the cavities of the cases. Further, one of the cases can be converted into an easel, while the other one is provided with storage spaces for articles/objects so as to allow for easy use in outdoor activities.

Abstract: An auto recovery method for a multimedia player is disclosed. A microcontroller is initialized and a central processing unit (CPU) is activated. It is determined whether a power-off request from the CPU is received. If not, it is determined whether a monitor message from a monitor application is periodically received. If no monitor messages are received within a predetermined period of time, the CPU is disconnected and then reactivated.

Abstract: A method of selecting a television channel on a video device having a television tuner includes displaying a currently selected channel on the video device, controlling the video device to simultaneously display the currently selected channel and a plurality of other channels that are not currently selected, each of the displayed channels showing moving images corresponding to the content broadcast on the respective channels, wherein channel numbers of the currently selected channel and the plurality of other channels that are not currently selected conform to a predefined pattern, changing the channel on the video device to select one of the displayed channels that was not previously selected, the newly selected channel becoming the currently selected channel, and simultaneously displaying the currently selected channel and a plurality of other channels that are not currently selected.
