  • Patent number: 8884844
Abstract: An exemplary electronic device includes a first display and a second display. The first display includes a number of first pixels. Each first pixel defines a first display region. Each first display region displays first visual content when voltages are applied to the first pixel and displays no first visual content when no voltage is applied to the first pixel. Each first display region is transparent or translucent when displaying no first visual content. The second display includes a number of second pixels. Each second pixel defines a second display region for displaying second visual content. The first visual content is viewable whether or not the second display displays the second visual content, and the second visual content is viewable when one or more first display regions corresponding to the second display region are transparent or translucent.

  • Patent number: 5615540
Abstract: An electricity driven device for rotating a rotary object to increase the rotational inertia of the rotary object. The device includes a fixed and non-rotating main shaft. A fixed element is secured with the main shaft. A rotary element is arranged so as to rotate about the fixed element at a periphery of the fixed element. A coupler is secured with the rotary object. The device also includes an electromagnetic field generating device that includes a first part and a second part. A plurality of coils and a plurality of permanent magnets are provided between the first part and the second part such that an electromagnetic field is generated therebetween when the coils are supplied with electric current, so that the first part and the second part perform relative rotation. The first part of the electromagnetic field generating device is secured on the fixed element. The second part of the electromagnetic field generating device is secured on the rotary element.

  • Patent number: 5600191
Abstract: A driving assembly for motor wheels including a plurality of permanent magnets arranged around the outer periphery of a securing element on an axle for forming a stator. When electric currents are passed through a plurality of winding coils in an inner wheel frame, an induction electromagetic field is generated to drive the inner wheel frame in the outer wheel frame to rotate. The inner wheel frame has a clutch ring for transmitting the power of the inner wheel frame to a driving gear of a reduction mechanism to drive the outer wheel frame. A clutch element is disposed between the clutch ring and the driving gear, the clutch element being capable of axial movement along the axis of said axle for controlling power transmission.

  • Patent number: 5465802
Abstract: An electromotive wheel of which a rotor is attached to the wheel frame and a stator is attached on the the wheel axle. As power has been supplied, the induction electromagnetic field is induced in either the rotor or the stator. When a brake element is fixed on the wheel axle and released as the current is interrupted, then the rotor and the stator are rotated around the wheel axle by the magnetic force of the permanent magnet; but under the condition of supplying power, the brake element brakes the stator located on the wheel axle, thus the stator and rotor produce relative rotation induced from the induction electromagnetic force to drive the wheel frame.
