  • Publication number: 20120206230
Abstract: A low-loss choke structure with no air gap includes a magnetic core unit, a coil and an insulator. The magnetic core unit has two magnetic cores. Each of the magnetic cores has a post. The coil has a wired portion. The wired portion has an input end and an output end. The two posts of the magnetic cores are respectively inserted into opposite sides of the wired portion and each have an end face contacting each other. The input end and the output end both are inserted into the insulator, which is arranged below the magnetic cores. There is no air gap between the two end faces of the two posts, thus lowering the eddy current loss, suppressing the noise generation, decreasing cost and size, and providing improved DC bias characteristics.

  • Patent number: 7821373
Abstract: The surface mount magnetic device includes a magnetic element and as planar cover. The magnetic element includes a winding structure and a magnetic core. The planar cover is attached on the magnetic element. When a nozzle at a tip of placement head of a placement machine is placed on a top surface of the planar cover, the nozzle is tightly attached on the top surface of the planar cover. The surface mount magnetic device is vacuum picked up by the placement head due to pneumatic suction of a driving device, so that the surface mount magnetic device is transported from a first position to a second position.

  • Publication number: 20100237973
Abstract: A process for fabricating a surface mount magnetic device includes the following steps. Firstly, a magnetic core assembly and a coil structure are provided. The magnetic core assembly includes a first magnetic part and a second magnetic part. The coil structure includes a main body and multiple pins extended from the main body. Each pin includes a bent part and a contact part. Next, the magnetic core assembly and the coil structure are combined together. The main body of the coil structure is disposed between the first magnetic part and the second magnetic part. The contact parts of the pins are contacted with a first surface of the second magnetic part.
