    Abstract: A memory circuit includes a memory unit, a memory control circuit and a pseudo ground voltage generation circuit. The memory control circuit includes: a level shifter circuit coupled to a variable supply voltage; a driver circuit coupled to the pseudo ground voltage generation circuit at the pseudo ground node. The driver circuit is powered by the variable supply voltage and generates an access signal according to the driving signal, to access data from the memory unit. Under a high-voltage operation, the variable supply voltage provides a first supply voltage level, so that a high level of the access signal corresponds to the first supply voltage level and the pseudo ground voltage generation circuit provides a pseudo ground voltage level at the pseudo ground node. A voltage difference between the first supply voltage level and the pseudo ground voltage level is smaller than a withstand voltage of the driver circuit.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides a method of determining a sequence of nucleotides for a nucleic acid template. The method can include the steps of contacting the nucleic acid template with a conformationally labeled polymerase and at least four different nucleotide species under conditions wherein the conformationally labeled polymerase catalyzes sequential addition of the nucleotide species to form a nucleic acid complement of the nucleic acid template, wherein the sequential addition of each different nucleotide species produces a conformational signal change from the conformationally labeled polymerase and wherein the rate or time duration for the conformational signal change is distinguishable for each different nucleotide species; detecting a series of changes in the signal from the conformationally labeled polymerase under the conditions; and determining the rates or time durations for the changes in the signal, thereby determining the sequence of nucleotides for the nucleic acid template.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide systems and methods for adaptive data retention management in non-volatile memory. A solid state device (SSD) includes non-volatile memory (NVM) for storing data. The SSD is configured to determine a temperature of the NVM. If the temperature of the NVM is below a predetermined temperature, the SSD maintains a data retention refresh rate of the data stored in the NVM. If the temperature of the NVM is equal to or above the predetermined temperature, the SSD adjusts the data retention refresh rate at a first rate and then a second rate, each adjustment based on the temperature of the NVM. The first rate and the second rate are different, for example, the second rate is less than the first rate.
