    Abstract: An operation method of a proximity sensor comprises: controlling a light-emitting element by a processing circuit. Such control includes a plurality of light source on and light source off operations. An optical sensor receives light and outputs a sensing signal corresponding to the intensity of the light. The processing circuit computes the sensing signal to produce a sensing result. The plurality of light source on and light source off operations includes a group having two light sources on operations and two light sources off operations. The two light sources on operations in the group or the two light sources off operations in the group are performed consecutively. In this way, the ambient light components of the light source on and off operations may cancel out each other to reduce the ambient light components contained in the sensing results.

    Abstract: An operation method of an optical sensor comprising receiving an ambient light by a light-sensing device. Record a signal generated by the light-sensing device after receiving the ambient light by a operation unit. A flicker frequency of the ambient light is determined by the operation unit. A signal operation parameter is set according to the flicker frequency, and the signal operation parameter comprises a sampling time difference, which is the starting time interval of two corresponding integration time periods of a plurality of integration time periods. Furthermore, the light-sensing device and the operation unit start the calculation of the intensity of the ambient light, so that the flicker component of an ambient light source may be eliminated from the light sensing result to produce a stable sensing result.

The outer casing has a natural ice cube shape with ripple-shaped sides. The inner unit is fitted in the outer casing and comprises a base, a raised support and an-illuminable light cylinder fixed on the raised support. A chamber in the inner unit runs through the base, raised support and light cylinder. The LED is fitted in the light cylinder and the circuit board is under the LED, and the battery is under the circuit board. The bottom lid is at the bottom of the outer casing and has a push-button switch and a hole matching the battery cover lid. When the battery runs out, the battery cover lid is turned to separate it from the bottom lid, so a new battery can be installed.
