Abstract: A network resource allocation system and method of the same are provided according to the present invention. The system and method are applicable to a wireless mesh network, the method including: programming traffic of connections between routers; exchanging data between neighboring routers, thereby enabling the routers to perform dispersive network resource allocation according to the exchanged data; checking a local time window and a global time window for expiration by the router; and, under the condition of local performance deterioration or local traffic variation, activating a local routing adjustment mechanism by the router, wherein, if global performance deterioration currently exists, then activating a global optimization mechanism by a central controller, and, if not, then resetting the global time window.

Abstract: A protection cover apparatus for video players includes a body to encase a video player to provide protection and a functional enhancement portion at one end of the body to provide functional enhancements for the video player. The functional enhancement portion has an adapter extended outwards to be connected with an insertion slot of the video player to form coupling and establish transmission with the video player. The functional enhancement portion also has a wireless transmission means to receive or transmit information and video wirelessly. The functional enhancement portion further has a USB port at one side to be connected to a USB line to perform charging or establish an information link with other information products. Thus it can provide multiple functions such as protecting the video player, wireless information transmission, wireless video transmission, charging and linking to other information products.

Abstract: In one illustrative scenario, a mobile device receives configuration information which includes information for use in constructing a request message for obtaining a digital certificate from a certificate authority (CA). After receipt of the configuration information, the mobile device constructs the request message for the digital certificate and causes it to be sent to a host server of a communication network. In response, the host server requests and obtains the digital certificate from the CA on behalf of the mobile device, and thereafter “pushes” the received digital certificate to the mobile device. The mobile device receives the digital certificate and stores it for use in subsequent communications. The host server may be part of a local area network (LAN) which includes a wireless LAN (WLAN) adapted to authenticate the mobile device based on the digital certificate, so that the mobile device may obtain access to the WLAN.

Abstract: In one illustrative scenario, a mobile communication device causes a communication session to be established with a host server of a communication network. The mobile device performs communication operations in the communication session for activating a communication service, such as a data synchronization service, with the host server. In the communication session, the mobile device also receives configuration information which includes information for use in constructing a request message for obtaining a digital certificate from a certificate authority (CA). After receipt of the configuration information, the mobile device constructs the request message for the digital certificate and causes it to be sent to the host server. Abstract: A hose includes at least an inner-layer tubular member, an intermediate layer, and an outer-layer tubular member. Both the inner-layer tubular member and the outer-layer tubular member are made of plastics. The intermediate layer is formed by wrapping a net. An outer surface of the intermediate layer is provided with a helical structure made of plastics and the outer-layer tubular member encloses the helical structure. The helical structure has a mechanical strength greater than the outer-layer tubular member. Since both the helical structure and the outer-layer tubular member are similarly made of plastics, the bonding strength therebetween can be enhanced. When the hose is subjected to bending, the helical structure helps to prevent the hose from being compressed and deformed, thereby maintaining the inside diameter of the hose to ensure smooth flow of liquid or gas through the hose.

Abstract: A coupling mechanism for securing an audio/video player onto a flat panel display includes a casing, a hanger assembly and a connection member. The casing is used for supporting the audio/video player in an upright manner. The hanger assembly is attachable to the flat panel display. The connection member rotatably couples the casing to the hanger assembly so that an orientation of the audio/video player relative to the flat panel display is adjustable.

Abstract: A distributed media access system and method. The method includes making each of a plurality nodes in a P2P network designate at least one nearest neighbors as a first node candidate and perform at least one random walk to obtain a second node candidate according to the peer list; calculating user preferences of the request node and user preferences of the first and second node candidates according to the first and second node candidates and the preference parameters corresponding to the first and second node candidates so as to obtain a plurality of similarity values; selecting the more similar candidate as buddies of user of the node according to the calculated similarity values; and establishing a buddy list according to the buddies of user and storing the buddy list such that the P2P network can quickly find buddies of the node through the buddy list.

Abstract: The invention relates to a droplet-based digital microdialysis method that utilizes discrete perfusate droplets marched through a microchannel in an intermittent manner. The droplets sequentially reside on a microdialysis membrane that is in contact with the test fluid, e.g., fluid in an extracellular space. The droplets remain stationary at the membrane site for a period of time for rapid equilibration with the test fluid, and is then marched to an outlet port for processing. The invention further relates to microdialysis probes and methods based on the droplet-based digital microdialysis.

The noise suppressor at least includes Aluminum Oxide (Al2O3) that is sintered under high temperature, resulting in ceramic Aluminum Oxide (Al2O3) for effectively absorbing or suppressing noise, and reshaping the waveform or filtering waveform glitch of the electronic signals.

Abstract: A thin film transistor array substrate and the manufacturing method thereof are disclosed herein. A first patterned metal layer, an insulating layer, a patterned layer, and a second patterned metal layer are sequentially formed on a substrate. Then, a number of scan lines and a number of source lines are disposed on the substrate and define a number of pixel regions. A number of the storage capacitance lines are disposed on the substrate in a direction extending along the scan lines and across the pixel regions, wherein each of the storage capacitance lines is essentially perpendicular to each of the source lines and to form a cross portion. A number of patterned thin films are disposed on the storage capacitance lines and above the cross portion.

Abstract: An apparatus for clamping a disk comprises a clamper and a turntable. The clamper having a first cushion member is disposed on a bottom side of the clamper. The turntable is movably disposed relative to the clamper thereby clamping the disk between the turntable and the clamper. When the turntable is moved toward the bottom side of the clamper, one of the turntable and the disk touches the first cushion member first and then the clamper attaches to the turntable tightly for clamping the disk between the clamper and the turntable, therefore a striking force generated from the impact of one of the turntable and the disk on the clamper is reduced by the first cushion member.

Abstract: Methods for providing images. First, a target image is partitioned into a plurality of partial images according to the available memory capacity and the size of the target image. Thereafter, one of the partial images is respectively captured and transmitted from a device with a camera capability to a host. The partial images are combined to generate the target image on the host.

Abstract: User friendly coding systems are provided for Chinese characters, either complicated or simplified. Each Chinese character is assigned a code based on the shape of the character. In particular, the characters sharing the same beginning strokes are grouped together. The coding systems are useful for searching or sorting Chinese characters, as well as for typing Chinese characters on a computer or word processor.

Abstract: A heat exchanger assembly includes an enclosed path in which cold water flows continuously. The enclosed path includes a heat absorbing section for absorbing heat from the coolant, and a heat dispersing section which is cooperated with a fan and fins so as to send heat from the heat dispersing section. No water is needed added into the heat exchanger assembly and a short distance of path is needed. The heat exchanger assembly can be conveniently carried to desired positions.

Abstract: An electronic display stand includes a face panel and a single foot stand located on the bottom of the face panel. The face panel has a display screen located on the top surface and electronic control elements located inside that are electrically connected to the display screen. The face panel further has a switch, a pushbutton and an insertion port located thereon that are electrically connected to the electronic control elements. The insertion port can be coupled with an external data entry device (such as a card reader, various external storage devices and the like). Thereby data on the data entry device can be displayed on the electronic display stand such as musical scores, teaching materials, guiding materials and the like to facilitate data entry and fast and convenient reading.

Abstract: A springing device including a moveable piece and an elastic object is provided. The moveable piece is disposed between the aperture and the tray and is able to swing. The first end of the moveable piece is pivotally connected to the internal of the casing and the pivotal connection is used as a supporting point of swinging, the second end of the moveable piece is pivotally connected to the baffler. The elastic object is connected to the moveable piece. When the tray is disposed within the optical disc drive, the elastic object sustains the moveable piece and the baffler, enabling the baffler to close the aperture. When the tray moves towards the aperture until touching the moveable piece, the moveable piece, which receives a force and swings, will apply a force onto the elastic object and move the baffler to slide, enabling the baffler to open the aperture.
