  • Patent number: 11348277
Abstract: A method for estimating camera orientation relative to a ground surface. Line segments are detected from an image captured by a camera. A first virtual cube having three orthogonal vanishing points with a random 3D orientation is superimposed on to the image. The line segments of the image are classified grouped into 3D-directional groups. A second virtual cube is superimposed on to the image with an initial 3D orientation. An optimal 3D orientation of the second virtual cube is computed by iteratively changing the 3D orientation of the second virtual cube and measuring perpendicular distances of the three orthogonal vanishing points to the three line segment groups in each iteration starting with the initial 3D orientation, wherein the optimal 3D orientation of the second virtual cube being one that provides shortest perpendicular distances. Co-variances of the orthogonal vanishing points of the second virtual cube at the optimal orientation are computed.

  • Publication number: 20220051430
Abstract: An iterative multi-image camera orientation estimation comprising: capturing an image of a scene before the camera; detecting line segments in the scene; computing a maximum likelihood (ML) camera orientation by maximizing a likelihood objective by rotating the camera's X-Y-Z coordinate system such that it is being optimally aligned with the line segments in at least two of the frontal, the lateral, and the vertical orthogonal directions; estimating a maximum a-posteriori (MAP) camera orientation that maximizes an a-posteriori objective such that the MAP camera orientation is an optimal value in between the priori camera orientation and the ML camera orientation, and is closer to the one with smaller uncertainty; iterating the multi-image camera orientation estimation with the priori camera orientation and its corresponding priori camera orientation uncertainty set to the computed MAP camera orientation and its corresponding uncertainty respectively until the uncertainty is lower than a threshold.

  • Patent number: 10669625
Abstract: One or more pumping liners are provided for use in chemical vapor deposition (CVD). A pumping liner encircles a deposition chamber within which a wafer is placed and into which a precursor is introduced to form a thin film on a surface of the wafer. The pumping liner regulates a rate and uniformity at which a gas is removed from the deposition chamber, which in turn affects a duration or degree to which different portions of the wafer are exposed to the precursor. Controlling exposure of the wafer to the precursor promotes uniformity of the film formed on the wafer as well an ability to regulate the thickness of the film formed on the wafer. In an embodiment, a pumping liner has at least one of relatively small liner apertures, an increased number of liner apertures or a non-uniform distribution of liner apertures within a body of the pumping liner.

  • Publication number: 20050124151
Abstract: A method is disclosed for depositing a Black Diamond layer in a CVD chamber. Trimethylsilane, O2, and Ar are flowed into the chamber at 300° C. to 400° C. with an O2:Ar:trimethylsilane flow rate ratio that is preferably 1:1.5:6. The resulting low k dielectric layer is formed with a higher deposition rate than when Ar is omitted and has a k value of about 3 that increases only slightly in O2 plasma. A higher density, hardness, and tensile strength are achieved in the Black Diamond layer when Ar is included in the deposition process. The addition of Ar in the deposition maintains film thickness uniformity below 2% for a longer period so that PM cleaning operations are less frequent and affords a lower fluorocarbon plasma etch rate to enable improved trench depth control in a damascene scheme. A lower leakage current and higher breakdown voltage in achieved in the resulting metal interconnect.

  • Patent number: 6752953
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a non-gelatin hard capsule shell. The hard capsule shell is made by a heat-melting method which involves heating a capsule forming composition (preferably in powdery form) in a mold, followed by inserting a pestle into the mold to coat the melted capsule forming composition onto the pestle. The hard capsule shell thus formed, after hardened and dried, is removed from the pestle. This method has the advantages over the conventional “dip molding method” for not requiring the capsule forming composition to be pre-dissolved in solution so that no solvent is used in preparing the capsule forming composition. Also, by inserting a pestle into a mold, a pressure is imposed so as to ensure uniform coating of the capsule forming composition to the pestle. The present invention also provides a capsule forming composition which comprises a polymer and optionally a plasticizer and an apparatus for making the non-gelatin hard capsule shell.
