Abstract: A memory socket includes a frame having a base portion and a side portion, and a push-eject locking mechanism in physical communication with the base portion and with the side portion. The push-eject locking mechanism to transition between an unlocked position and a locked position. The push-eject locking mechanism includes an eject bar component and a lever component. The weight of the eject bar component biases the push-eject locking mechanism towards the unlocked position. Based on a force being exerted on the lever component, the lever component pivots and transition the push-eject locking mechanism from the unlocked position to the locked position.

Abstract: A charging device includes a power adapter, a cable assembly, and a control module. The power adapter is used for converting a power supplied from an external power source to a form suitable for charging a battery of an electronic device. The power adapter includes a first magnetic element. The cable assembly is used for electrically connecting the power adapter with the electronic device such that the battery can be charged. The cable assembly includes a first plug connected to the power adapter and a second magnetic element disposed in the first plug. The control module is used for controlling the first magnetic element and the second magnetic element to engage with each other to disconnect the first plug from the power adapter when the battery has been fully recharged.

Abstract: A computerized method provides information of local products using a server. Information of various products published by one or more product vendors is stored into a product database. When a user accesses the server using a client device, a location of the user is acquired and a geographical area where the user is located is determined. Products local to the determined geographical area are searched from the product database, and are displayed on a user interface for the user to select his/her favorite. When one of the searched products is selected, purchasing addresses of the selected product are searched from the product database and the nearest purchasing address to the user is determined. One or more routes from the user to the nearest purchasing address are calculated according to an electronic map, and are displayed on the user interface.

Abstract: An exemplary embodiment internet access method transmits a request through a first communication unit to a second communication unit in response to user request for a target web page. The method then analyzes the request to obtain an internet address of the target web page. Next, the method accesses the target web page on an internet server according to the internet address through the third communication unit, obtains source code of the target web page from the internet server, and transmits the obtained source code through the second communication unit to the first communication unit. Then, the method generates a web page according to the source code from the first communication unit. Next, the method controls the display unit to display the generated web page.

Abstract: A computerized method controls illumination devices within a monitoring area using an electronic device via a plurality of controllers. Each of the controllers controls one of the illumination devices correspondingly. A schematic plan of the monitoring area is acquired and divided into a plurality of regions according to distribution of the illumination devices within the monitoring area. When any of the regions is touched, the electronic device sends a control signal to the corresponding controller to turn on/off the illumination device within the target region.

Abstract: The disclosure provides an electronic device and a method of selecting recipes from cookbooks. The device includes a storage unit, a processing unit, and a display unit. The storage unit is for storing a plurality of electronic cookbooks and each cookbook is marked with a timestamp by way of a classification and includes a recipe. The processing unit is for acquiring current date and/or time, determining suitable cookbooks from the storage unit according to the timestamp of each cookbook and the current date and/or time and acquires recipes from the suitable cookbooks. The display unit is for displaying the retrieved content from the cookbooks.

Abstract: A keyboard for use in an electronic device includes a circuit board, a switch connected to the circuit board and a button to actuate the switch. The keyboard further includes a first electromagnet and a second electromagnet. The first electromagnet is coupled to the button, and the second electromagnet is coupled to the circuit board and corresponding to the first electromagnet. When energized, the first and second electromagnets repel each other and the first electromagnet moves away from the circuit board, causing the distance between the button and the switch to become longer.

Abstract: An electronic device for associating at least one memory card and data therein with itself and a method thereof are provided. The device includes a storage unit storing a relationship between one or more identity codes and corresponding associated information. The association information corresponding to each identity code records relationship between at least one application capable of being run by the device and associated data stored in a memory card having the identity code. A processor determines the identity code of a memory card connected to the electronic device, determines the corresponding association information based on the determined identity code and the stored relationship, and associates the at least one application with the associated data according to the determined association information.
