  • Publication number: 20080265745
Abstract: An organic LED display apparatus comprises a substrate and an upper cover. The substrate comprises a display area, a plurality of inner leads and a plurality of outer leads. The upper cover overlays the display area and the plurality of inner leads, and is hermetically combined with the substrate by means of an encapsulating material. The plurality of outer leads is covered with an insulating material that is laid on the outer leads immediately after they are formed on the substrate. Therefore, the plurality of outer leads can be protected from scratches and damage.

  • Publication number: 20080122423
Abstract: The application provides a particle analyzer based on sheath flow impedance method comprising a flow cell and a counting circuit, wherein the flow cell includes a front chamber and a back chamber, the front chamber includes a particle suspension liquid inlet and a front sheath liquid inlet, the back chamber includes a back sheath liquid inlet and a waste liquid outlet, an aperture being provided between the front and back chambers and each of the front and back chambers being connected to the counting circuit via an electrode respectively. The particle analyzer further comprise a back sheath liquid isolating chamber, the back sheath liquid stored on the bottom of the back sheath liquid isolating chamber flowing into the back chamber automatically and continuously due to the liquid level difference between the liquid in the back sheath liquid isolating chamber and the liquid in the back chamber, or due to a combination of said liquid level difference and the interior negative pressure of the back chamber.

  • Publication number: 20080079929
Abstract: The present invention relates to a flow cytometer, comprising a light source, a light beam shaping module for collimating and converging a light beam emitted from the light source so that the light beam irradiates samples to be detected, a sample generation unit, which comprises a gas-liquid transmission controlling module and a flow chamber that are interconnected, and a signal processing unit, for collecting, photoelectrically converting and analyzing the scattered beam emitted from the flow chamber. The light beam shaping module comprises a first cylindrical lens and a second cylindrical lens for respectively converging the light beams in two directions. In the present invention, the spot converged at the cell-interrogation zone of the flow chamber is flattened to avoid instability of the fluid which in turn leads to instability of the excited optical signal, and consequently the stability and reliability of the system are improved.

  • Publication number: 20070293984
Abstract: A method for command transmission between systems is introduced. The command transmission between the systems, such as a north bridge chip, a south bridge chip and a central processing unit (CPU), employs the signals transmission specified by a PCI Express bus originally for the communication between system chips or peripheral devices. The signals transmission includes an interrupt or a system management instruction specified by the PCI Express bus, which further defines the specific addresses of a memory packet and a system message packet. In the preferred embodiment, the method thereof comprises the steps of transmitting an INTA command first, then a second system chip upstreams an INTR/system-management command to a first system chip. After that, the first system chip downstreams an EOI/system-management command to the second system chip.

  • Publication number: 20070116042
Abstract: A power extension apparatus for local area networking is disclosed. The power extension apparatus has an array of power sockets and network interface ports on an extension cable, where the power sockets are to connect two or more computing devices to a power line wiring, and the network interface ports are to establish data communications among the computing devices being connected to form a local area network. The local area network can be further linked to other networks also being connected to the power line wiring, which may be in the same building, so long as the data communication is compliant with HomePlug and other similar standards. These computing devices being connected through the power line wiring are able to exchange audio, video, text, and control data bi-directionally.

  • Patent number: 6107938
Abstract: An infrared proximity and remote control wall switch positioned between a fixture and a voltage source for allowing a fixture to operate in one of a manual and automatic mode. The infrared proximity and remote control wall switch includes a three position switch operable between a first on position connecting the fixture directly to the voltage source, a second off position for disconnecting the fixture from the voltage source and a third auto position for allowing automatic operation of the fixture. An infrared emitter generates an infrared signal and an infrared receiver is connected to receive one of the infrared signal generated by the infrared emitter and reflected by an object and an infrared signal generated by a conventional television, video cassette recorder or hi-fi remote control unit. A device is connected to the infrared receiver for filtering the signal received by said infrared receiver and eliminate noise signals therefrom.

  • Patent number: 6069354
Abstract: A photonic paper product dispenser is provided for dispensing a portion of a roll of a paper product. The photonic paper product dispenser comprises a housing which holds the roll of the paper product. The dispenser further comprises a light source for emitting an infrared light signal and a photodetector affixed to the housing which detects infrared light from the source reflected by the user and converts the light to electrical signals. The dispenser further includes a signal processing circuit in electrical connection with the photodetector. The signal processing circuit receives and processes signals sent by the photodetector. The dispenser further includes a motor in electrical connection with said signal processing circuit. The dispenser further includes a pair of gears mechanically connected to the motor which rotate upon activation of the motor. The gears are mechanically connected to one of a pair of rollers, the roller rotating upon rotation of the gears.
