Abstract: The present disclosure provides a display panel, a display apparatus and a method for manufacturing a display panel. The display panel includes: a base substrate; light-emitting elements located on a side of the base substrate; a color conversion film layer located on a side, away from the base substrate, of the light-emitting elements and including a plurality of color conversion patterns in one-to-one correspondence with the light-emitting elements, each color conversion pattern includes a matrix and color conversion particles distributed in the matrix, and the color conversion particles convert light emitted by the light-emitting elements; and a first film layer located between the light-emitting elements and the color conversion film layer and adjacent to the color conversion film layer, a refractive index n1 of the first film layer and a refractive index n2 of the matrix satisfying: n2/n1>0.82.

Abstract: Selective hydrogenation processes are disclosed that can upgrade impure feeds, such as those obtained from biomass and containing a number of small (e.g., 2-6 carbon atom) molecules having aldehyde and/or ketone carbon atoms. For example, whereas glycolaldehyde and its methylated derivative, hydroxyacetone (acetol) are both high value intermediates for certain downstream processing reactions, they are normally recovered in a condensate from pyrolysis of carbohydrates (e.g., aldose-containing sugars) together with glyoxal and its methylated derivative, pyruvaldehyde. The selective hydrogenation of these compounds bearing two carbonyl carbon atoms, without over-hydrogenation to ethylene glycol and propylene glycol, can increase the concentration of the desired intermediates. These beneficial effects of selective hydrogenation may be achieved through the use of a hydrogenation catalyst comprising noble metals such as Ru and Pt.

Abstract: A display substrate includes a backplane, first light-emitting devices capable of emitting first color light, second light-emitting devices capable of emitting second color light that are all disposed on the backplane, a low-refractive-index intercalation layer disposed at a side, away from the backplane, of the first light-emitting devices and the second light-emitting devices, and an encapsulation layer. The encapsulation layer includes a first inorganic barrier layer, a first organic barrier layer and a second inorganic barrier layer that are sequentially stacked on a side of the low-refractive-index intercalation layer away from the backplane. A refractive index of the low-refractive-index intercalation layer is less than a refractive index of the first inorganic barrier layer.

Abstract: A multi-use monitoring system is disclosed, which comprises an electronic device, multiple sensor devices, multiple cameras, at least one wireless interface, and a remote electronic device. According to the present invention, the sensor devices are adopted for detecting multiple environmental parameters such as gas level, humidity and temperature, and the multiple cameras are controlled to acquire images from the poultry bred in a breeding environment. Therefore, after receiving the images and the environmental parameters from the electronic device, the remote electronic device can extract at least one poultry characteristic from the images, and then correlate the environmental parameters to the poultry characteristic(s). As a result, the remote electronic device can subsequently calculate an evaluation score according to the growth and/or health state of the poultry, such that the breeder can plan how to distribute the breeding resources for the poultry.

The first support makes contact with the at least one optical fiber. The contact causes a bend in the at least one optical fiber.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods for synthesizing useful intermediates and/or products from 1,2,5,6-hexanetetrol (HTO), which itself can be derived from a sugar. In an aspect, a process is provided for production of THFDCA from 1,2,5,6-hexanetetrol (HTO). The process comprises the steps of (a) ring closing to form a ring compound and (b) oxidizing using a catalyst comprising platinum and bismuth to form an acid mixture. Step (a) may be performed before or after step (b).

Abstract: An automated guided vehicle (AGV) includes an image capturing device, a storage device, a fetching device, a driving device and a processor. The processor is configured to execute: controlling the AGV to move from a starting position to a target position according to a navigation coordinate system, the target position corresponding to the object to be fetched; capturing a depth image from the object to be fetched through the image capturing device; performing image recognition on the depth image to obtain reference pixel information; converting the reference pixel information to the navigation coordinate system according to a coordinate mapping algorithm to obtain a calibrated position; and determining an object-fetching route according to the target position and the calibrated position, and controlling the AGV to move according to the object-fetching route to fetch the object to be fetched.

Abstract: A process is described for forming taurine, which comprises reacting monoethanolamine with sulfuric acid to provide an 2-aminoethanol hydrogen sulfate ester product, combining the 2-aminoethanol hydrogen sulfate ester product with at least one of carbon dioxide, a carbonate or bicarbonate and with at least one of a sulfite or bisulfite to form a sulfonation reaction mixture, and heating the sulfonation reaction mixture for a sufficient time to form a taurine product therefrom. The efficiency of the sulfonation step is improved sufficiently to enable a continuous process for making taurine, particularly with at least some concurrent water removal in the first, esterification step to facilitate full conversion of the monoethanolamine to the desired 2-aminoethanol hydrogen sulfate ester intermediate.
