    Abstract: A method for beam report associated with one or more antenna group configurations (AGCs) is proposed. The network node configures one or more AGCs. Each AGC may comprise at least one of an AGC index. Each AGC may comprise the number of ports or layers that can be supported by the UE. In addition, each AGC may comprise an active panel state. The active panel state may indicate whether the UE can perform UL transmission to the network node and/or whether the UE can perform DL reception from the network node. The UE may determine one of the AGCs for each CRI or SSBRI in a beam report. The UE may activate and select one or more panels for DL reception and UL transmission and the UE may receive and measure the reference signal corresponding to the CRI or SSBRI in the beam report.

    Abstract: User equipment (UE) for sounding reference signal (SRS) triggering is provided. The UE may include a radio frequency (RF) signal processing device and a processor. The RF signal processing device receives first slot offset information and second slot offset information from a network node. The first slot offset information is configured through a radio resource control (RRC) information element (IE) to indicate a first time difference between the down link control information (DCI) and a resource reference slot. The second slot offset information indicates the second time difference between the reference slot and an SRS resource. The processor is coupled to the RF signal processing device. When the RF signal processing device receives the DCI, the processor triggers an SRS transmission for the SRS resource according to the first slot offset information and the second slot offset information.

    Abstract: Apparatus and method for beam failure recovery (BFR) are proposed. The network node may allocate channel state information-reference signal (CSI) configuration for the user equipment (UE). The CSI configuration may comprise at least one CSI-reference signal (CSI-RS) associated with a serving transmission configuration indication (TCI) for the UE. In addition, the network node may transmit the CSI configuration to the UE. The UE may perform BFD procedure to determine whether a beam failure happens and transmit a beam failure recovery (BFR) request to the network node when the beam failure happens. In addition, the UE may perform operations based on the CSI-RS associated with the serving TCI when the UE receives a response from the network node for the BFR request.

    Abstract: A method of acquiring timing advance (TA) for neighbor cells to reduce latency and interruption for inter-cell mobility is proposed. A UE is configured with a set of active cells for fast cell-switching. To reduce handover interruption, UE performs early RACH for potential target cells and obtains the TA of the potential target cells. In one novel aspect, for overhead reduction, a single RACH preamble may be received by multiple cells. Using a single RACH preamble, UE acquires TA for multiple cells, aiming at reducing the interruption due to RACH during handover. In another novel aspect, UE reports DL reception timing difference between the serving cell and the neighbor cell, and then adjust the TA for the neighbor cell accordingly.

    Abstract: A beam failure recovery (BFR) procedure is proposed. The network node may allocate one or more New-Beam-Identification Reference-Signal (NBI-RS) resource sets for a user equipment (UE) and report the allocated NBI-RS resource sets to the UE, wherein the NBI-RS resource sets may be associated with a serving Transmission and Reception Point (TRP) and at least one candidate TRP. The UE may perform a beam failure detection (BFD) procedure to determine whether a beam failure happens, perform a New Beam Identification (NBI) procedure based on the NBI-RS resource sets allocated by the network nodel, and perform a recovery procedure to a serving TRP or a candidate TRP to reduce the latency of conventional recovery procedure.

    Abstract: A unified solution to support all PCell, SCell, and per-TRP based beam failure recovery (BFR) procedure is proposed, with less standard impact and reduced latency. In a first novel aspect, a set of reference signals (RSs) for BFD is configured for each BWP of a serving cell, and a maximum number of BFD RSs (N) per TRP for each BWP of a serving cell is configured. In a second novel aspect, for single DCI multi-TRP, the BFD RSs can be updated via MAC CE to reduce latency. In a third novel aspect, new RRC parameters for BFD RSs and candidate beam RSs are configured, with different sets of SSB/CSI-RS resources associated to each TRP. Specifically, an additional lists of SSB/CSI-RS resource set is defined for each corresponding TRP.
