  • Patent number: 8215644
Abstract: A shaft sealing device includes a gland having a flange with an axial hole, a coolant inlet, and a coolant outlet. A shaft sleeve is extended through the axial hole and mounted around a rotary shaft. A plurality of flexible elements extend through a plurality of through-holes in a retainer and each include two ends respectively presaging against two friction ring assemblies, allowing joint rotation of the shaft sleeve and the rotary shaft. The retainer further includes a first tangent groove having an inner end in communication with the axial hole and an outer end in communication with the coolant inlet. The retainer further includes a second tangent groove having an inner end in communication with the axial hole and an outer end in communication with the coolant outlet. Each of the first and second tangent grooves has a width decreasing from the inner end toward the outer end.

  • Patent number: 8033549
Abstract: A rotating assembly of a mechanical seal includes a retainer, a pair of compression rings, a shaft sleeve, a first rotating seal ring and a second rotating seal ring. The retainer includes a plurality of spring members and a plurality of slide legs longitudinally extended in opposite directions to define limiting spaces where the compression rings are correspondingly restricted. The compression rings are located at opposite sides of the retainer between which the spring members are arranged. In assembling, the retainer, the compression rings, the first rotating seal ring and the second rotating seal ring are assembled on the shaft sleeve. Spring forces of the spring members can actuate the compression rings to push the first rotating seal ring and the second rotating seal ring in the opposite directions.

  • Publication number: 20080111314
Abstract: A shaft sealing assembly includes a sealing device and a stirring unit. The sealing device includes a plurality of non-rotational members and a plurality of rotational members. The non-rotational members include a main body and a fixed frictional ring. The rotational members include a shaft tube and a rotational frictional ring. The fixed frictional ring abuts against the rotational frictional ring, forming an abutting section between the fixed frictional ring and the rotational frictional ring. The stirring unit is provided on one of the rotational members for driving a liquid adjacent to the abutting section to create stirring currents for stirring the liquid adjacent to the abutting section.

  • Publication number: 20070246891
Abstract: A shaft-supporting mechanism of a shaft-sealing device includes a sealing-ring positioning assembly, a pair of pushing members, a sleeve body, a first rotatable sealing ring and a second rotatable sealing ring. The sealing-ring positioning assembly includes a plurality of spring members and a plurality of engaging legs longitudinally extended in opposite directions to define limiting spaces where the pushing members are correspondingly restricted. The pushing members are located at opposite sides of the sealing-ring positioning assembly between which the spring members are arranged. In assembling, the sealing-ring positioning assembly, the pushing members, the first rotatable sealing ring and the second rotatable sealing ring are assembled on the sleeve body. Spring forces of the spring members can actuate the pushing members to push the first rotatable sealing ring and the second rotatable sealing ring in the opposite directions.

  • Patent number: 7204490
Abstract: A shaft-sealing device includes a shaft tube, a retaining ring member, a rotary ring member, a resilient ring member and a sealing ring member. The shaft tube provides with an annular end flange and engaging notches thereon. The rotary ring member also provides with engaging recessions. Correspondingly, the retaining ring member provides with engaging teeth. In assembling, the resilient ring member is retained between the annular end flange of the shaft tube and the retaining ring member by the engaging teeth engaging with the engaging notches. The sealing ring member is disposed between the retaining ring member and the rotary ring member by the engaging teeth engaging with the engaging recessions. Consequently, the resilient ring member, the retaining ring member, the sealing ring member and the rotary ring member are successively mounted on the shaft tube in a longitudinal direction to constitute an inner modular structure.
