    Abstract: An identity verification method applied in a computer device includes periodically collecting biometric data of a user. A difference between the collected biometric data and pre-stored biometric data is determined. The pre-stored biometric data is updated to be the collected biometric data, and the collected biometric data and identification information of the user are uploaded to a blockchain when the difference is greater than a preset threshold. Once current biometric data of the user is obtained, and the identification information of the user from the blockchain based on the current biometric data of the user is downloaded, identity verification is performed on the user based on the downloaded identification information.
