Publication number: 20240143050Abstract: A portable electronic device includes a housing, a heat-dissipation component, a bracket, a door structure, a driving mechanism, and a driven linkage. The housing includes a heat-dissipation opening disposed in the housing. The bracket is disposed in the housing and surrounds the heat-dissipation component. The door structure is configured to move between a closed position covering the heat-dissipation opening and an open position exposing the heat-dissipation opening. The driving mechanism is coupled between the bracket and the door structure to drive the door structure to rotate and move. The driven linkage is coupled between the bracket and the door structure. When the door structure is driven to rotate and move, the door structure drives the driven linkage to rotate and move, so that the driven linkage and the driving mechanism jointly drive the door structure to move between the closed position and the open position.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 13, 2023Publication date: May 2, 2024Applicant: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC.Inventors: Cheng-Han Chung, Hung-Yueh Chen, Ching-Yuan Yang

Patent number: 11929019Abstract: A method for processing a static pattern in an image and a circuit system are provided. In the method, each of frames of a video is divided into multiple areas. Several algorithms are used to calculate a static pattern index of every area. The static pattern index is used as a reference for determining if the area covers part or entire of a static pattern. An index threshold can be used to check the areas that are determined as the static pattern initially. A time threshold is then used to confirm the areas with the static pattern in every frame. Image data of the areas which are determined as the static patterns can then be adjusted, such as having brightness of the area that is determined as part or entire of the static patterns decreased, for preventing the display panel from negative effects of the static pattern.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 2021Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: REALTEK SEMICONDUCTOR CORP.Inventors: Cheng-Yueh Chen, Ju-Wen Tseng

Patent number: 11521567Abstract: A display device includes a liquid crystal display panel, a backlight module, a control circuit, a driving module, and a waveform generator. The liquid crystal display panel includes a plurality of liquid crystal pixels. The backlight module generates the backlight required by the liquid crystal display panel, and the backlight module includes a plurality of backlight blocks. The control circuit determines a backlight intensity corresponding to each backlight block in a frame period according to an input display data and generates a control signal according to the backlight intensities corresponding to the backlight blocks. The driving module generates a plurality of driving signals to the backlight module in the frame period according to the control signal. The waveform generator generates a de-blur pulse signal to the backlight module. When the de-blur pulse signal is at a high voltage, the backlight blocks emit lights according to the driving signals.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2021Date of Patent: December 6, 2022Assignee: REALTEK SEMICONDUCTOR CORPORATIONInventors: Cian-Rou Wu, Cheng Yueh Chen, Cheng-Chun Wang, Li-Ang Chen, Yung-Chih Chen

Patent number: 11233985Abstract: A method for video quality detection and an image processing circuit thereof are provided. In the method, an image-processing circuit receives video signals with at least one frame image, and obtains brightness information of pixels from the frame image. A threshold is applied to the pixels of each frame in order to screen the brightness features that can be regarded as an attribute of each frame image. Therefore, a brightness distribution feature with respect to the pixels of each frame image can be obtained by a statistic method. Statistics showing the brightness distribution can be used to determine a quality of each frame image or a video. The image processing circuit can accordingly select an image processing process corresponding to the image quality of each frame image or the whole video.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2020Date of Patent: January 25, 2022Assignee: REALTEK SEMICONDUCTOR CORP.Inventors: Cheng-Yueh Chen, Ju-Wen Tseng
