    Abstract: The present application provides a battery cell and a battery. The battery cell includes a first electrode plate, a first separator, a second electrode plate, and a second separator which are stacked in sequence, where at least one of a head portion and a tail portion of the first electrode plate is provided with an uncoated foil surface, the uncoated foil surface facing the first separator and being provided with an adhesive layer via which the first separator is bonded to the first electrode plate, such that the battery cell can be wound as a whole, thereby avoiding problems such as wrinkling and electrode plate misalignment at the beginning and end of a winding process, and improving product yield.
