    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a display device and voltage drop compensation circuit. The display device includes a signal source part, a display part and a transmission part, and the signal source part is connected to the display part through the transmission part. The signal source part includes a power supply module including a voltage output end for outputting a power supply signal and a voltage feedback end for obtaining a feedback voltage signal, and the power supply module is used to adjust the power supply signal based on the feedback voltage signal. The transmission part includes: a first transmission line with a first end connected to the voltage output end and a second end outputting the power supply signal; and a second transmission line, including a first end connected to the voltage feedback end and a second end connected to the second end of the first transmission line.

A second embodiment of the present invention provides an apparatus and a method for a Reduced-Algorithmic-Delay Video Rate Conversion. An alternative embodiment provides an apparatus and a method for a Smart Pass-Through Operation which involves switching between the Simple Pass-Through and the Rate Converter. The methods and apparatuses provided by the first and second embodiment can be used as a stand alone system, or as part of the module of the alternative embodiment.

    Abstract: A video encoder (2) comprises an encoder unit (4) coupled to a transmission circuit (6), the encoder unit (4) further comprising a counter (5) and a comparator (7). Frames of a video sequence (8) comprise areas encoded as an inter-coded area or an intra-coded area. The counter (5) maintains an inter-coding history count value for identified potential inter coded areas of a frame thereby identifying a number of times said potential inter-coded area depends from inter-coded areas of consecutive frames. The encoder unit (4) determines if any of the potential inter-coded areas is to be intra-coded or inter-coded, the determining being dependent upon comparing each count value with the threshold count value.
