  • Patent number: 11579705
Abstract: An example computing device includes a photodetector to measure an amount of light incident on a detection surface of the photodetector. The example computing device includes a state sensor to activate the photodetector responsive to the computing device being in a detection state. The example computing device also includes a processor. An example processor identifies, during the detection state, a user gesture based on an output of the photodetector. The user gesture blocks light incident on the detection surface of the photodetector. The example processor also alters an operation of the computing device based on the user gesture.

  • Patent number: 10042529
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for displaying and presenting content. When presenting content in real time, contextual-zoom-focus and/or dynamic-zoom-focus may be placed on selected portions of the content. For example, the content may be zoomed and the selected portions of content may be repositioned to a central area of a display. Additionally, context may be maintained for the selected portions of content by at least partially displaying nearby content. In some cases, portions of content may be displayed in a progressive manner along a selected display path. Accordingly, context for the portions of content may be maintained along the display path. In some cases, placing contextual-zoom-focus and/or dynamic-zoom-focus on portions of content may be animated and the portions of content may perceptively zoom and glide into focus.

  • Patent number: 8396281
Abstract: A method for inspecting substrate internal defects is disclosed. The method provides at least one light source disposed on a lateral side of a substrate and configured to emit a light beam to the lateral side for correspondingly penetrating the substrate. The method also provides an image capturing module for retrieving an image of the upper surface, wherein an incident angle of the light beam to the respective lateral side is limited within a first predetermined angle to allow the light beam to have a total reflection in the substrate. Thus, the light beam is blocked by internal defects when transmitting within the substrate to generate bright spots to be detected by the image capturing module for locating the defect position. The method provides a better image definition of internal defects images. The present invention further provides an apparatus based on the method for inspecting substrate internal defects.

  • Patent number: 8127276
Abstract: Apparatus, method, and computer readable medium for generating and utilizing a feature code to monitor a program are provided. The program is run in a secure environment at the beginning. The program calls a function through an application program interface. A return address of the application program interface is used to generate the feature code. When the application runs again at another time, the feature code is utilized to monitor the program. According to the aforementioned arrangement and steps, the application program interface can be monitored dynamically. Consequently, any program can be monitored by this approach, which results in a more secure environment. Further, fewer application program interfaces are required to be monitored, so the required computer resource is less.

  • Publication number: 20110106468
Abstract: The present invention relates to a location-adjusting inspecting apparatus and method for a solar battery panel inspecting system. The inspecting apparatus includes an image-fetching device and a set of rotatable probe devices. A transport platen of the inspecting system transports a solar battery panel to an inspecting region. The image-fetching device fetches an image of electrode lines on the battery panel, and calculates an offset data by comparing the fetched image with a correct data representing the position and angle of electrode lines. Finally, the probe devices are controlled to generate a corrective rotation based on the calculated offset data. In this way, when pressing the solar battery panel, the probes of the probe devices can be aligned with and contact the electrode lines of the solar battery panel correctly, thereby increasing the accuracy in the inspection of the solar battery panel.

  • Publication number: 20100142520
Abstract: A mobile communication method for a mobile originating (MO) side communicating with a mobile terminating (MT) side is disclosed. A first media gateway (MGW) is included in the communication network serving the MO side, and a second MGW is included in the communication network serving the MT side. The mobile communication method includes: after a SETUP message is received from the mobile originating side, determining if the mobile originating side is in Circuit Switching (CS) Domain. If the MO side is under CS domain, determining if the MT side is under CS domain. When the MO side and the MT side are both under CS domain, voice communication signals between the MO side and the MT side are transmitted with CS bearer between the first MGW and the second MGW.
