    Abstract: A switching device includes a first enclosure containing a switch, a rod-shaped second enclosure having a second end connected to the first enclosure, a detector unit in the second enclosure, and a float disposed around the second enclosure and capable of moving along it. As the float moves from the first end of the second enclosure toward the second end, when the float enters a first position range, a first position sensor senses the float and transmits a first sensing signal to a detection circuit; when the float enters a second position range, a second position sensor senses the float and transmits a second sensing signal to the detection circuit. The detection circuit close a switch in response to the second sensing signal to turn on an external appliance. The switching device is flexible, reliable, and inexpensive to produce.

In response to relative movements between the drive coil assembly and the magnetic movement assembly away from or toward each other, the input and output assemblies are disconnected from or connected to each other, respectively. The core unit achieves reset function and trip function by the coordination of the drive coil assembly and magnetic movement assembly, effectively ensuring power connection and disconnection while reducing the number of components. This design reduces the size of the device and reduces assembly cost.

    Abstract: A leakage current control device includes first and second current limiting elements coupled in series between input and output ends, and a voltage detection and selection unit, which has its first end coupled to the input end, its second end coupled to a point between the first and second current limiting elements, and its third end coupled to the output end. The voltage detection and selection unit detects whether the input end is in a first or second power supply state, and correspondingly, either controls the second current limiting element to operate, or bypasses the second current limiting element. As a result, the leakage current between the input and output ends is limited to within required threshold ranges under both conditions. This device can effectively limit the leakage current under a wide input voltage range without unduly reducing the power supplied to the downstream appliance.

The trip assembly includes a light emitting element, electrical coupling terminals, and a drive member mechanically coupled to the push button and configured to, in response to a pressing of the push button, control electrical coupling of the electrical coupling terminals, which in turn controls the electrical coupling between the input insertion plates and output power lines. The drive member includes a reflective portion that reflects a part of the light from the light emitting element to the push button as an indicator light. The dual function drive member that accomplishes both mechanical coupling and light transmission reduces the number of components. A device with an electrical control circuit is also disclosed.

The shield detection line includes a connecting terminal at the first end of the wire bundle assembly which is configured to received and retain the connecting conductor inserted therein. The structure of the LCDI enables fast and secure assembling of the wire bundle assembly and movement unit, and eliminates the need for internal re-adjustment of the shield detection lines after assembling, which promotes automation of large scale production.

    Abstract: A leakage current detection interrupter (LCDI) device for an electrical appliance includes a shell and a trip assembly inside the shell. The shell includes an upper cover and a base cover joined together, and either the upper cover or the base cover includes a first cover and a removable second cover. The second cover spatially corresponds to a tail portion of the trip assembly; when it is removed, the tail portion is expose to allow a power cord to be connected to the LCDI device. By using a removable second cover, the cord can be conveniently assembled with the LCDI device when the LCDI device is installed on the electrical appliance, allowing the LCDI to be shipped without the cord. This can reduce the packed size of the LCDI device for easier shipping and storage, as well as lowering cost. It also makes the LCDI device more versatile.
